At the tender age of seventeen, Julian Jordan may well the youngest DJ ever to grace Electric Brixton’s hallowed stage when he lines up alongside industry giants Sander Van Doorn and Jochen Miller for SW4 Sessions on November 16th.

Not quite old enough to buy a ticket to the event but talented enough to rock the crowd, Sander van Doorn’s protégé has firmly arrived on the world stage their infectious collaboration together ‘Kangaroo’ sent fans around the world hopping mad. An inspired fusion of electro synths with a dub inspired bass line, saw the track gatecrash the top spot of DMC’s influential ‘Buzz Chart’ on release and when considered in addition the rousing ‘Ramcar,’ ‘BFAM’ and ‘Childish Grandpa’, it equates to a production portfolio more lucrative than many of those twice Jordan’s age.

So as London’s clubbing fraternity awaits with baited breath, for Sander van Doorn’s return to the capital in conjunction with one of the city’s best loved festivals we nabbed his meteorically rising teenage understudy to deliver us an exclusive mix ahead of his performance to show people unacquainted with him what all the fuss is about.

The album launch of DRS's I Don't Usually Like MCs But... LP will be celebrated in fitting style at the next A Bunch of Cuts, with Mr Intalex and DRS inviting album producer Dub Phizix and fellow collaborators Calibre, S.P.Y and dBridge down for the party, with further top line support from old hands Doc Scott and Klute.

Exclusive Mix: Marcus Intalex & DRS

The hotly-tipped duo Dusky have mixed an exclusive set for Data Transmission, in conjunction with the Bristol party In:Motion. The mix comes from the deep house pair, signed to the renowned Anjunadeep imprint, ahead of their performance at the Just Jack party at In:Motion on Saturday 29th September.

The Just Jack party, set to be headlined by Jamie Jones, will kick off what looks to be the strongest season yet for In:Motion, which runs in Bristol from September to December each year. Public Enemy, Fatboy Slim, Four Tet, High Contrast, Sven Vath and Grimes are just some of the live acts and DJs already announced to perform at the various parties, with many more acts yet to be announced.

Taking place in a converted skate park, In:Motion has become something of a cultural landmark in Bristol’s clubbing landscape of late. Having first launched in October 2010, the party is now in its third year and has established a reputation for throwing the biggest nights west of London.
