Tenzella provides three heaters for his debut release on Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave imprint. The UK producer kicks things off with lead track ‘Direction’, a Detroit inspired roller with intoxicating synths pads and loopy vocal.  Next up ’Dazed’, keeping things interesting with it’s clashing 909 claps and heavy rolling groove. The EP closes with ‘Blizzard’, a slice of peak time techno, driven by module bleeps.

Most people will know Jem from his nine year DJ residency for We Love @ Space in Ibiza (No.7 most listed DJ to play at the club.) Resident Advisor.
Jem played weekly in the Discoteca main room alongside the best in the business from Carl Craig, Derrick May & Jeff Mills to Joris Voorn, Disclosure & Paul Woolford. 
Outside of Ibiza, Jem has also played the best clubs in the UK: Ministry of sound, Fabric, Back to Basics (Leeds), Sankeys & The Warehouse Project (Manchester) and in countries as far and wide as China, South Korea, Canada, Australia, New Zealand & America.

Over the past year Jem’s productions on his own Colour Series imprint have gained plays on national radio from Pete Tong & Skream on BBC Radio 1, Anja Schneider (Radio Fritz Berlin) & Sister Bliss (Faithless) radio show where Jem featured as a guest. 
While in the clubs and festivals Richie Hawtin has been a big fan of Jem’s collaboration with SOAME, playing their “Mountain road” track as his opening track at Sonar, Timewarp & Enter gigs this year. Primed to take the next step, Jem has the world at his feet.

‘T2’ marks the return of Toolroom’s collaboration concept album. 

‘T1’, released back in October 2015, was an album of new and exciting collabs from Toolroom’s roster at the time; celebrating our artists’ talents and challenging them creatively.  

At the height of lockdown in 2020, with our artists in isolation across the world, it felt like a good opportunity to bring back the series - and also help raise money for Covid-19 relief funds, with a percentage of profits going to charity. 

This time, we picked the collaborations totally at random. Drawn out of a hat by Mark Knight on a Facebook Live broadcast, 36 artists were paired up into 18 new studio partnerships.  Pairings like Amine Edge & DANCE and Maxinne; Alex Preston and Siege; Mat.Joe and Ben Remember; and Juliet Sikora and KC Lights, have resulted in the fusion of different styles, influences and ultimately an album of fresh and essential exclusive tracks. 

‘T2’ features 18 brand new tracks, with some out-of-the-box experiments and sure-fire bangers. Testament to the power of creation in isolation, and the unexpected magic of new collaborating artists at the top of their game.

The Human Movement project has undergone significant sonic development in the past 12 months.  From a well established house project within his underground community of Sydney Australia, Edward Macdonald’s most recent singles have elevated him to more than just connoisseur of taste, but to a producer reaching grandiose heights, one established in a delicate care for the creation of sonic universes. This ethos and new chapter of music has  now combined to create Human Movement’s first solo body of work, KINETIC.

With the release of the body of work  comes the first listen of new Human Movement original, Reframed. Reframed’s grandiose vocal chops, raging string lines and two step drum pattern make for a dark and grungy take on the traditionally glitzy garage genre. While vast in its territories, sonics and inspiration there is something brilliant about its continuity. Each build up is a narrative, each drumline a distant rhythm and each vocal chop a distinct feeling.
