Even though Nils Penner, also known as one half of Penner + Muder, is not a new name in this business this is his first release on Exploited and guess what? It couldn’t be a better fit.
Penner, originally from Bremen, brings his unique sound which comprises a flawless and balanced mix of deep house, heavy grooves and well thought-out basslines. After releasing on labels such as Freerange, Suol and Compost Black Label, Penner succeeds to amaze again.

The two tracks on this new single are each other’s perfect supplement. They both breath out the light-heartedness that is an ideal fit for the beginning of Spring.
While „Bubbles” will put a smile on everyone’s faces with its feel-good rhythms, „The Thing” is an undeniable clubtrack with a nice old-school vocal that will get you and the ones around you dancing.

Out May 1st 2014 as a free download release of John Graham aka Quivver's latest cover project featuring Angel Hart of Gwen Guthrie's 1986 R&B dance classic "Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent”, the extended radio mix will be available for free download, with the full EP released on Boz Boz Records coming out mid May. "Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But the Rent" is a follow up of Quivver feat. Angel Hart's "I Don't Want To Wait" hit release last summer on Toolroom Records. Quivver's cover stays true to the original groove but with a big room house sound, while his dub goes deeper with chopped up vocal hooks and bouncing bassline. Angel's vocal retains the attitude of the original but with her own clean crisp delivery.

Let’s face it. January sucks. It’s cold, wet and generally not very fun. Yet we’re in a particularly good mood here at Data Transmission HQ.  The reason for our sunny disposition during meteorologically dreary times? Toolroom Records’ sunshine laden Poolside series has touched down in Mexico and delivered a series of upbeat tunes that already have us dreaming of laying on a beach somewhere warm where the waters are crystal clear and the only thing cold is the ice in our drinks.

So as we jealously spy social media updates from our friends arriving at BPM we thought we’d share a slice of Mexico with you with the exclusive unveiling of Poolside Mexico cut ‘You (Can You Feel Me)’ by fast rising deep house duo Framewerk. One of 32 cuts on the compilation alongside efforts from the likes of Tube & Berger, Tough Love and Toyboy & Robin you can check out ‘You’ below. It seems as if 15 years have quickly flown by since we first opened our doors at the base of the famous Oberbaumbrücke joining Berlin’s Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain districts. With countless long nights into majestic mornings and open airs in our beloved city to showcases spanning the globe, Watergate has grown to include a booking agency and a record label pushing the sounds of our mainstay artists and some of the most revered acts in the scene. To celebrate our journey over the last decade and a half we have put together a special anniversary release of 25 new, exclusive and formerly unreleased tracks to be released as a 2x CD set with our traditional Watergate artwork as well as a special collector's edition box set as a 5x vinyl, 2x CD package including a commemorative art print, two free entries to the club itself and the very special photo book ‘Sound Travels’ by Linus Dessecker which features photos and interviews of artists that played at Watergate when they arrived or left Berlin, all wrapped up in a sleek minimalistic package entitled “WATERGATE XV”.
