TR Tactics, the producer and DJ duo from Austria, have been storming up a lot of people’s lists of artists to watch in 2014. After releases on Citrus, Disturbed and Dissected Culture, they drop ABREC07 on Addictive Behaviour, their latest and greatest work to date.

Addictive are one of the most forward thinking labels out there, always allowing the talent and dedication of their artists to shine through, and Time Slice/Cone is no exception. After their success in the D&B Arena remix competition, and a series of amazing releases, the duo are definitely on the rise.

Cone will rock you and shock you, with its close, insistent beats and flashing bass runs. Take a trip to the dark side with this one, as the weight is distributed with harsh, pounding low end and a reminder to ‘work that’. All together, the elements of the track work in perfect harmony, showcasing what TR Tactics can do, and what they are all about. This is the leading edge of the modern drum & bass revolution.

The duo Two Turntable returns with strong creative energy on their new release, Inspire Me EP, delivering two Liquid Drum and Bass tracks shaped by introspection and sonic experimentation.

The opening track, “My Jazz is Jungle”, acts as a bridge between tradition and innovation: deep, organic basslines intertwine with jazz-inspired improvisations, recreating an atmosphere that nods to the genre’s roots while pushing into contemporary territory. The beats flow smoothly, guiding the listener through a journey that shifts between contemplation and motion.

The title track, “Inspire Me”, expands on this concept with an even more immersive approach. Here, the basslines take on a more experimental character, blending with ethereal pads and pulsating rhythms that evoke both hope and reflection. The result is an emotive Liquid DnB experience—subtle yet powerful.

Two Turntables  - My Jazz is Jungle

Shogun Audio has long been home to many of the modern titans of drum & bass; Icicle, Rockwell, Alix Perez... the list goes on. But head honcho, Ed Friction, isn't one to sit back and rest on his laurels - particularly now he's the public face of the genre over on BBC Radio 1 - he's always keeping an ear to the ground, hunting for the next heavyweights.

Hence comes Point Of Origin Vol. 1, a brand new Shogun compilation celebrating the heroes of tomorrow, such as Paul SG, Safire and Posij, and a few of today's top dogs, like Nickbee, Zero-T and DT favourite, Need For Mirrors.

The album offers a varied selection of styles, but sat firmly at the ten-tonne tech end of the spectrum is Karma (who is also the only producer to land two tracks on the release). A stone cold stepper built around twisted, retching sonics, 'Saturation Point' will undoubtedly cause absolute turmoil on the floor. We smell a Shogun Warrior in the making!
