If Andreas Henneberg represents the raw power in his music, Cascandy represents the fun and the light-hearted.  Recorded live on Sunday afternoon at our 3 Year Anniversary Festival, this set was one of the most enjoyable and love-filled 2 hours of the weekend. We really hope you've loved getting to know Andreas as much as we have these past couple of months, because we have a brand new release from his The Glitz alias dropping on Desert Hearts Records on March 21st.  And good god it's fantastic!

We just can't get enough of 23 year old youngster and rising Desert Hearts Records star Fritz Carlton. After signing one of the biggest EPs on the label to date with "That's My Kinda Night", he immersed himself in the vibe of our community and absolutely destroyed the place at our Spring Festival 2016. Playing largely a set filled with his unreleased productions and personal edits to classic tracks, on Sunday night of the festival he gave us something so fresh and so dirty that it was hard not to join the frenzy our family was whipped into. With an arsenal of original productions, an unrivaled work ethic and drive, and a gangsterific swagger to hold down any dance floor, we know this kid is going to be a star and can't wait to watch his rise to prominence in the next couple of years. Let's just say we had a family vote and we're keeping him. ✌

Bruce's next outing is a two-track EP on Timedance. It’s arguably been the standout imprint of 2016, with three other mind-bending records released from Lurka, Ploy and bossman Batu. 

Considering the latter two artists happen to be Bruce’s housemates in Bristol, where according to Ploy they “live together in a sort of utopian Timedance commune”, it’s no surprise to see Bruce now step up to make his debut on the label with another first-rate instalment.

A-side cut ‘I’m Alright Mate’ is a fraught aural experience that overlays a functional foundation with skewed and spiky outer textures.

Berlin duo MAT.JOE pair really know how to cook up a storm and once again they prove that in style with a pair of firing new tracks for their home label Mother. It comes after releases on labels like Clap Your Hands, ALiVE and Hot Creations and again brims with fresh grooves that will be a fine addition to any set. 

Strawz opens the account in loose limbed house fashion. Silky drums bobble up and down and retro stabs and chattering claps add bite to the beats. A heavily treated vocal pings about and clever effects help build tension before the whole thing drops into a fat house kicker.  Firing and well produced, this is more dance floor dynamite for all.
