The title track sets the tone with a pulsating bassline, commanding synths and haunting electronics, with the more melodically-inclined "Liquify" picking things up from there. "Long Ago" adds acidic stabs and a vocal to the melting pot, and for the closing ceremony we are introduced to the cavernous vibe of "All You Ever Wanted".

In December 2009, Gem Records was born when it released GEM001 ‘Egbert – Dezelfde Weg’. Nine years later, Egbert graces the label with its 60th release.  

Fractals EP is a double A-side with ‘Fractals’ representing Egbert’s pumping dancefloor techno and ‘Zachtaardig’ his signature melodic sound. The Ep follows closely after Egbert’s chart topping 10 year anniversary EP ‘10 JAAR LIVE’ which was accompanied by a short documentary: http://bit.ly/Egbert_doc

With Gem Records set to release EPs by  Ramon Tapia, SQL, Stefan Weise and DJ Lion over the next few months, these are heady times for a label that continues to be rewarded for its consistent and innovative approach to contemporary electronic music.

A regular staple of the @kneadedpainsrecords label, London based DYSART cues up a two track single for Dense & Pika’s imprint, with ‘Mint’.

Following up recent releases for 2000 and One’s 100% Pure label, and Carl Cox’s Intec, DYSART leads this latest techno transmission with the rattling intensity of ‘Mint’. Shimmering ride cymbals dazzle over its funky rhythm and elementary tone pattern for a functional and gratifying club cut. 

‘Omnis’, meanwhile, comes out of the starting blocks with a pernicious kick drum and some twisted industrial sound mangling for a darker but no less deadly track.

‘Mint’ by DYSART is released on Kneaded Pains from 7th August 2020.
