Texas-bred, San Francisco-schooled and Berlin based producer, DJ and vocalist Kevin Knapp makes his first solo appearance on Hot Creations. Already a massive Summer Anthem for the Hot Creations and Paradise Crew.. this is shaping up to be one of the singles of the Summer.

Equally adept in the studio, on the decks and behind the mic, Kevin Knapp has emerged from the bustling Bay Area dance music community to international attention, with support from the likes of Matt Tolfrey, Richy Ahmed, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Eats Everything, Claude VonStroke and Audiojack. It was only a matter of time before Knapp heard the call of the global techno capital, relocating to Berlin in early 2013.

He’s also become a fixture on the international circuit, gigging across the globe, from Detroit to New Dehli, San Diego to Seoul, and appearing at industry-leading events like Movement (DEMF), ADE and Off-Sonar Week. His releases and collaborations can be found on the likes of Leftroom, Dirtybird, OFF Recordings, Defected and now Hot Creations.

The Audiojack duo team up with cohort Kevin Knapp to release their heavy club weapon ‘Vibrate’ on Hot Creations. Berlin based Re.You and former Minus mainstay and Fun Records founder Barem take the reins for remix duty.

Making his first appearance on the label with this remix, Re.You’s other releases can be found on Cocoon, Mobilee and Souvenir alongside second remixer Barem, a talented producer from Argentina. Texas-bred, San Francisco-schooled and Berlin based producer Kevin Knapp is no stranger to the Hot Creations imprint, having released his successful two track ‘The Heft EP’ earlier this year. Originally from Leeds, and now based in Ibiza, Audiojack are set to celebrate a decade of music-making with exciting new releases forthcoming on the likes of Crosstown Rebels, 2020 Vision, Tsuba and their own label Gruuv.

This weeks FMM comes from percussive and tribal house producer Melé. Known for making special edits and cuts of lots of his favourite classic house tracks, he created this DJ tool to work in his sets to play alongside the old acid house/warehouse bits that have been going off in the clubs. Having come off the back of his huge track ‘Ambience’ in 2015, this year has been spent putting the time in the studio with two more exciting releases dropping before the end of the year. His DJ sets have taken him around Europe from one of the highlights of Sonar to Studio 338 in London. With support from Eats Everything, Patrick Topping and Disclosure, to name a few, the tribal house innovator continues to do what he does best and keep people dancing.
