Superlounge, aka Alex Bach and Oliver Fritsche, put together a blistering mix for you, to celebrate their upcoming 'Ghost Of Time‘ EP release on Culprit. Expect deep, ambient but driving tunes with a pinch of melancholy.

Superlounge is next in line. The duo from Dusseldorf is producing music since they first came together in 2006 and is known for collaborations with Alex Niggemann on his Soulfooled imprint. Now they struck on their own on their first Culprit release and they went the whole songwriting route by recruiting two exceptional vocalists and lyricists to provide the special dimension to their compositions.

Jinadu, known for his collaborations with Jimpster, Christian Prommer and Frankey & Sandrino, lands contemplative lyrics to the title track. The second track 'Counting Days’ features the unique tone of Forrest, the London via Montreal- based artist who ​has become one of the most in­ demand guest vocalists in the genre. Israeli producer Omer Grinker has been following in the footsteps of many of his compatriots of late, with his intricate take on house music earning his much deserved plaudits. A most reputable purveyor of all things deep, Grinker's discography may be fairly sparse, but it's littered with quality-strewn moments nonetheless. With the exceptional Relations EP - a collaborative affair with Noam Levy - still warming our ears, we thought it was about time up we welcomed the fast rising Omer to deliver a mix for our Mix Of The Day Series.

Long championed by us here at DT as a rich source of soulful house vibes, thanks in the main to his work on Spanish/Lithuanian imprint, Parallel Records, his 50 odd minute selection of choice cuts for us to wrap our listening gear around was just the tonic we needed to kickstart our week. So als Käpt’n ist das ja auch nicht einfach, nech wahr. Da musst du Vorbild sein, dem faulen Gesindel an Deck Kommandos geben und am besten machst eh alles gleich selber. Ja Nee, das läuft ja nunmal gar nicht und Käpt’n https://soundcloud.com/rolandson ist da auch gar nicht so der Mensch für. Gut, dass wir die nautische Schifffahrtskammer aber immer wieder austricksen und ihr glauben machen können, wir seien streng hierarchisch organisiert und alles fädelt sich an der Perlenkette auf. Na gut, es ist nicht so einfach wie es klingt, bestechen müssen wir da den Ein oder die Andere schon hin und wieder - was uns aber aufgrund unserer musikalischen Leidenschaft und Vielfalt nicht schwer fällt. So mussten wir nach der Verschiebung des Raum-Zeit-Kontinuum kurz mal die  an Bord geschaffene Impulsionisationskammer öffnen und einen Einblick in das langsamere Langsam gewähren. Das hat sich dann schon ganz schön hingezogen, doch unsere neuer Steuermann https://soundcloud.com/mattmosphere hat die Damen und Herren der nautischen Schifffahrtskammer ordentlich umgarnt und sie auf eine Reise geschickt. »Du kommst zur Morgendämmerung an den Strand und bist in dich gekehrt. Du setzt dich ans Meer in den Sand und schliesst die Augen. Du kommst zur Ruhe und Besinnung und bist bereit für deinen (Seaside) Trip, der dich mit dir selbst und dem Ozean verbindet. Du lauschst dem Rauschen der Wellen und der deepe und langsame Bass lässt dich wie einen Vogel über den Ozean schweben. Nach einer Weile in der Luft treibt es dich wieder zurück an die Wasseroberfläche und du tauchst letztendlich hinab in die dunkle und weite Tiefe. Dort ist es geheimnisvoll, etwas düster und mysteriös, doch du bist neugierig. Du tauchst durch endlose Lagunen und kommst nach einer Weile wieder in seichtere und freundlichere Gewässer. Die Sonne ist nun vollends aufgegangen und du schwimmst in ihre Richtung. Du kommst wieder zu dir und liegst noch an der selben Stelle im Sand. Schöne Reise wünsche ich euch allen - Ahoi, Matt!“«
