There must be something in the water in Luzern, the town that label regular Khainz calls home. The Swiss producer has been churning out tremendous, polished dancefloor bombs for over a decade, and this effort has culminated in his third studio album and first since 2012: Fingerprint, out on @yoshitoshi on June 28th, 2019.

If you've heard Khainz's music, you know his tracks are equal parts heavy groove and brilliant sound design. Fingerprint shows the scope of Khainz's skills with track after track of heavy, club-focused composition that flirts with both delicate, beautiful melodies and savage techno sounds. In a world where many believe that the dance music album is increasingly irrelevant, Khainz proves the contrary with a stunning body of work that sounds like much more than just a collection of tracks.

We present to you "Pollux" from this brilliant album, a master class in melodic techno with its intense, swirling arpeggios.

'Yannick Baudino is very active in the Grenoble music scene and is the co-founder of record store Record Interface, which became a label that went onto sign the likes of OXIA, The Hacker, Kiko and more. Yannick is a former member of the Human Body project with Stephane Deschezeaux who released records of labels such as Goodlife and Bigelow. Since going solo and working under his own name, he has signed EPs on Saved Records, Plastik Galaxy in addition to contributions on Audiojack’s Gruuv imprint. 

‘Are You Sure’ EP sees Yannick sign to OXIA and Nicolas Masseyeff’s Diversions Music imprint following the likes of Ohmme, Miguel Lobo, Artslaves, Lewis Jimenez and the label bosses themselves.

‘Are You Sure’ kicks things off with shimmering grooves fused with thumping bass stabs and graceful pad swells before OXIA lays down soaring synths, infectious rolling energy and blooming atmospherics throughout in his ‘dub mix’.

Palma de Mallorca-born producer Bizen Lopez – who has had releases on labels like Stereo Productions, Moan and Deeperfect – delivers a bumping remix featuring slick percussion, hypnotic soundscapes and reverberating 303s, before Yannick’s closer ‘Data Project’ rounds off the pack with an effervescent roller as acid-soaked synths pulsate with the rattling high hats and bumping subbass harmoniously.'
