Bio:
Despite the many weird and wonderful submissions they get from Joe Public at Data Transmission – think everything from bottles of homemade hooch to used underwear – Data Transmission freely admit that we were most surprised to receive a cassette accompanied by a polaroid photo of alphabetti spaghetti spelling out ‘I AM RON MEXICO’ in the post at the tail end of last year. Intrigued, DT dusted off their Walkman and gave the tape a listen to find that what was on offer, was, well…surprisingly good!!! They then set about finding him online, only to find that there was not a single mention of him on the internet.

Several weeks passed and having written Ron Mexico off as an elaborate prank concocted by the over active imagination of one of their many friends with far too much time on their hands, Data Transmission didn’t expect to hear from him again. Then the postman delivered a bottle of tequila every day for twelve days. A postcard then followed, with the following message inscribed in Spanish “Now you’re suitably inebriated, perhaps we can talk on Facebook”. One brief chat later, Data Transmission had arranged for Ron to come with us to burgeoning snow festival, Rise, wherein we’d meet the mysterious selector in the flesh for the first time. His rider, predictably contained a variety of mescal, alongside “1 semi-inflated inflatable shark, a frozen banana and a copy of the Karate Kid on VHS”. The time in the French Alps with a masked Ron was fleeting and having ingested what we’d consider a potentially lethal amount of Mexican spirits, Ron Mexico left as much of an enigma as he’d arrived.

6 years on and Ron Mexico became the selector of all music for Data Transmission

After some gentle coaxing and assurances by Hobbs (UK) that he wouldn’t bring any “cameras or cops” ‘Ron’ instructed him to meet him at London’s St. Katharine’s Dock at 10.47 AM precisely with the promise he’d see him. And see him he did. Arriving by jetski, the still masked Mr. Mexico disembarked on to a pontoon wherein they set about creating 'Scolarisé à Domicile'.

Born in ´94 and living in Tielt, West-Flanders. Spinning the finest house and (minimal) tech-housebeats to get you wild and full of fire.

ODCEE started his career in the Jungle and Drum n Bass scene, this is evident in the distinctively fresh sounds he is crafting today, within the realms of House music.

His inimitable genre-defying DJ sets gave him the perfect launchpad, fast gaining a reputation as one of London's premier selectors with his hotpot of high octane fuelled sounds. 

With ODCEE primed and ready to present his music to the world he soon turned heads (and ears) with his unique fusion of DnB, Dub and Jungle influences and pumping House grooves. This resulted in securing releases on Amine Edge & Dance's imprint CUFF Records, Roush Label, Green Velvet's Relief Records and with Lee Foss's intergalactic Repopulate Mars with a South of Saturn EP as next destination for ODCEE. It is easy to see why the buzz around him is escalating!

This has seen him take the ODCEE sound to Melkweg Amsterdam, Eden Ibiza, Egg London, Ibiza Rocks and Ministry of Sound playing alongside undergrounds finest: Annie Mac, Camelphat, Jackmaster, Michael Bibi, Ninetoes, Riva Starr, Sam Devine, Second City, Solardo and Sonny Fodera.
