With his hits 'The voice of Dru' and the '2 know U' EP on Exploited Doctor Dru earned respect and backslapping from the biggest names of the scene. Since then the journey has started and led him around the globe touring all continents. He spread the voice of dru in the well renown clubs around and gained much love for his adrenalizing sets. But a busy schedule doesn´t mean a special outcome: we are happy to finally have him back for our 13th release on JEUDI Records.

Proper Lane:
If you feel like that there is time for your dancing feet to have a portion of propellent beats you should hear what this track is telling you. Skyrocket sounds coated with sensitive words told in an outer space could be the right sweeping emotion you will get from this deep technoid groover. As Doctor Dru carries a tune for further tracks like his underground hit "U Don't Dance" we are proud to hear him vocalising his approach of having a journey to a 'proper lane '.

Speaking of journey. 'Alpha Ray' will tell you a new school of sound experience. What if a 90s rave, Pink Floyd, John Carpenter and a starbirth open a door full of shining beats and deeper dark sounds? What happens when two of Brazil’s rising house talents HNQO & Dake join forces with a Detroit songstress Rai Knight? The answer is a dark and corrupting surprise titled ‘Obsessed’. Layered over a wall of chaotic noise ‘Obsessed’ begins with a provocative opening line and a thudding kick drum. Making a departure from her melodic folk routine, Rai Knight’s spoken and sassed vocals lay perfectly bare over the throbbing warehouse bass line and short circuiting snare rolls. Superbly engineered for the afterhours, ‘Obsessed’ guarantees decadence.

After its sold out inaugural edition last year, Pleinvrees returns to the Amsterdam sporting green space Riekerhaven on Saturday, September 5th, for a festival experience containing much more than just music. Expect familiar names, but also many new heroes, and also featuring an absurdist Andhim-stage, the pub, and a new cabinet of curiosities.

Dutchman Jan van der Lugt aka Tsepo is now a firm fixture on the house scene after bubbling under the surface for a couple of years while honing his DJ skills. Because of this, he had the honour of being an official resident of the late and legendary Amsterdam club Trouw during its final months. Laying down discerned sets that always leave him digging deeper and deeper, he is a DJ that never fails to connect with a room whether warming up, closing or rocking the peak hours. At Pleinvrees Heroes this Saturday, Tsepo will be playing a b2b with his new-found musical soulmate Konstantin Sibold.

Murat Tepeli’s trade is poise. In his sets, he creates a perfect harmony between ecstasy and ass shaking on one hand, and gentle emotion and elegance on the other. In his production, he often pairs melancholy with the necessity to dance, opulence and reduction, loud and quiet.

Professionally, Murat Tepeli walks the tightrope of being a DJ in the Club and a surgeon in the operating theatre. He combines these extremes with a playful energy and manages to put the full range of emotions and experiences into his sets.

In 2002, Murat Tepeli started his own productions resulting in his first release in 2005. Tepeli’s EP "On A Ride" found a home on the renowned Playhouse label. Further releases followed on labels like Brut, 240 Volts and an EP on Ostgut Ton. January 2008 saw the release of "Serenity", an album co-produced alongside Prosumer, and the record played a large role in the house renaissance. Several remixes and solo EPs followed, most recently with releases on AVA and Philpot.

Through his energizing sets in clubs such as Zukunft, Fabric, Rex and Paradiso, at festivals in countries like Poland, Israel and India, with regular gigs at Panorama Bar, and a residency at the Cologne-based Pulstar nights, Murat Tepeli has built himself an international fan base. By blending physique and emotion, his sets always represent the pulse of life– a beating heart, full of emotion.

Today, we are proud to present an exclusive mixtape from the highly talented Murat Tepeli. If you happened to be in Amsterdam at the beginning of the summer, Murat absolutely destroyed ZeeZout's Buiten Westen stage with a vinyl only set, spanning the spectrum of house. Here, expect no different.
