From Mr. Finger to Miss Kittin to Seth Troxler, many of the most memorable cuts in house music history spell out, with spoken words, the experience of clubbing while in the club itself. Meta-musical moment found to be effective on the dance floor. So it goes with “Can You Feel It,” 
the latest by Anja Schneider and guest vocalist Parsifal Marin of Brussels Pony Club.

Named after the signature Larry Heard tune that introduced the world to “Jack,” the track is the latest by DJ/producer/radio host/label head Schneider to pay homage to the Chicago greats, following last spring’s Ron Hardy-inspired “Hey,” which became an instant fave when Anja dropped it at the always in demand Mobilee rooftop parties in Barcelona. Expect the same response in summer 2014, when “Can You Feel It,” and flipsides “Dubmission” and “Revolution,” hit the ears of sun-kissed partiers worldwide.

In good old label tradition, Feines Tier presents the new Zoo Compilation Volume 4. You can keep the first half of tracks 1-11 in mind as The Deep Tracks and from 12-21 as The Action Tracks. These were our internal working titles anyway. In the end, it's a big compilation with 21 artists that we don't want to pigeonhole, because it's a big zoo! Thank you to Marcel Kreuzer aka Zoologne for the lovely cover art.

We have had the good fortune of working with Airdraw, the exceedingly gifted Argentine composer and DJ, since 2011, when he graced us with the harmonious and uplifting "Olaen" EP. With consistent offerings to our label, ranging from deep-progressive house to trance, ever since, it should come as no surprise that his new single, "Bryde's Whale," is another melodic masterpiece. Teaming up with his Argentine countrymen Jo.E & Aaren on this specific production, Airdraw crafts a layered, euphonious, and ultimately poignant composition, centering on radiant pads and a tenderhearted (and timeless) piano score. Featured by Tom Fall on last year's Silk Music Showcase 06, "Bryde's Whale" proves to be as majestic a progressive opus as the marine species for which it is named.

Taking the reins this week to pilot us through the solar system are the Italo-Mexican duo, Concret. 

After previously flying through various galaxies and stopping off with labels such as Toy Tonics, Wonder Stories, and Nein Records, it was a no brainer selecting the duo to navigate us this week, taking us towards a mysterious wormhole.

Their sounds drift across multifarious corners of the cosmos, from laser synth fantasies, succulent tribal oscillations, punk-esk bass vibrations and a whole array more. This weeks mix includes the lot, rammed full to the brim of arpeggiated bass tones to aid you through this gloomy week. Enjoy.
