Since launching his own label and event series, WHYNOTUS, renowned DJ-producer hybrid Malóne has been dropping Tech and Afro House heaters left and right. Now, WHYNOTUS is releasing its first compilation, featuring six ethnically-charged house tracks. ‘MIAMI GROOVE VA’ will come into fruition on Friday, April 5th.

Leading off the collaborative project is “Get It,” a hypnotic, percussion-heavy single from Amal Nemer. Layered with exotic vocals, this tune sets the precedent of grooviness for the tracks that follow, forged by the likes of Morpei, Damelo, Sounds Of Rituals, Pablo Alhach, Des & Del, DZR, and Sabrosura Boyz.

One element that separates this compilation from the norm is its ability to unite artists from a broad spectrum of different ethnicities and regions. Following up his 2017 debut ‘Halo’ EP on Saved, we’re welcoming Italian DJ and producer, Simone Liberali back to the label this month with his brand new ‘Landslide’ EP. His music – distinguished for its powerful, percussive and playful sound, has found homes on labels including Incorrect, NONSTOP, elrow, Material and AVOTRE as well as seeing him tour the world and play in renowned clubs across the globe including Egg London, elrow Barcelona and Pacha & Sankeys in Ibiza. Lead track ‘Landslide’ kicks things off with percussive drums and mesmerizing atmospherics whilst Jinadu’s soulful, soothing vocals offer a memorable hook which is at once uplifting and enchanting yet tinged with a beautiful melancholy. ‘Discordia’ closes out the EP, a playful loop-driven groove with a bouncing bassline, shuffling snares, warped synths and vocal chants that ebb and flow throughout the composition.
