Hot Since 82 steams onto Truesoul with full force releasing two incredible tracks that explode with energy and punch. ‘Damage’ packs the power with its chunky drums and huge synth stabs that power through the mix to knock over crowds. ‘Veins’ encapsulates the chuggy Truesoul sound that Hot Since 82 is notorious for. Hot Since 82 has engrained rolling beats and shimmering highs throughout each track to propel the EP to climax into a remarkable piece of work.

For our final record of the year, we turn to Glasgow's man of the year - Denis Sulta.

Like a good chunk of the Numbers family, he has earnt his stripes working at the coalface of techno aka Rubadub. He has crafted two excellent twelves for our bare-chested cousins at Dixon Avenue Basement Jams and is beginning to carve himself out a reputation as a DJ of some repute, expertly blending in the bangers with Sulta-certified weirdness. Denis is part of a new wave of Glaswegian artists who are doing amazing things and whose music is continuously exciting us.

‘It’s Only Real’ created by Sulta during a burst of inspiration one Sunday, takes us back to a time when techno was intricately melodic but still kicked hard in the club. Made with only the purest of intentions and a dedication to the art of moving heads and feet.

As the dust finally begins to settle after the release of Pan-Pot's massive album 'The Other', it's time to unleash a collection of heavy hitting reworks from the best and brightest stars of todays techno elite. Through careful consideration and an acute attention to detail, we couldn't be more elated to confirm ten artists we know and love to contribute their unique vision to Second State's first ever remix package.

Kicking things off with a heavily twisted alteration of 'Attention' is Nicole Moudaber and it's a tangled, dark trek through dense acoustic layers of audible madness. Next up is the Hamburg duo

Extrawelt with their twist on 'Optimistic Grey' and they deliver a beautiful blend of emotion and groove they are synonymous for.

Following suit is another passionately romantic number from man of the hour, Stephan Bodzin, and his take feels like floating through a sea of clouds, resulting in a timeless classic to be a focal point in any set for years to come.

Next in line is Ray Kajioka's take on '808 Nirvana' and it's a cosmic ride, ripe with swirling atmospherics laid over big churning drums and rolling cymbals.

Following up on the second 12“ of this LP is a man who needs no introduction: Carl Cox. And in true Coxy fashion he turns 'Riot' into just that: a big room, tension building monster!

Broken Engine' is the next track to get worked over and Wigbert delivers a stunning mix of shimmering tones and growling bass resulting in a lush venture through a cosmic backdrop of flickering stars in deep space.

Joseph Capriati ensues with his vision of 'Fugitives' and he brilliantly keeps the vibe of the original yet adds his trademark big room flair to take it to another level of driving euphoria.

Enlisting the talents of Alan Fitzpatrick to remix one of the slower listening tracks on the album turned out to be magic. With his signature percussion, Fitzpatrick takes the parts and creates a dive deep into sultry smooth waters of seduction.

The first of our last two remixes, which are digital exclusives, come from Paul Ritch and he delivers a grinding rendition of 'Riot', expertly crafted for the more euphoric peak time occasions.

Last and certainly not least is a man on the rise, Kevin Knapp with his twist on his own collaboration with Pan-Pot: 'Get In'. An expertly crafted tech house jam exploding with energy and attitude perfect for any moment, day or night, indoors or out.

No matter the time or place, there is something here for everyone and we are truly fulfilled and honored to present this package of cutting edge artists to celebrate this landmark moment. We know you will enjoy!

The original Do you feel is track is a sexy rollin dark number that pumps with a dark sexy vocal chanting “DO You feel it”. Great track for them early hours smashed out dance floors. Nice.

Next up is the absolutely HUGE remix by up and coming techno superstars HP Source. These 2 guys are smashing it big time. The take the original parts and vocal chant and lace it with what is a superb acid line. This is a super bomb remix. OH YES!

Next is the Mexicanos geezer Mental Drops that delivers his flavour of Do You Feel It. Its tasty. Go that sweet taste in your mouth that you like, mmm. Sweet with sour. Tastes good :) .. Another belting take on the original. Check out the synth breakdown. Luxurious ..

Then we have 3 original tracks by Royal Wolf. I like these tracks because they are quirky yet big dance floor destroying tracks in the Yin Yang fashion. Both Killers..

Production duo Mark Richards & James Eliot aka Solardo are the next to make their mark on Hot Creations with ‘Tribesmen’, delivering two heavy-duty cuts destined to stir serious heat in the club.

2016 has unquestionably been another remarkable year for Polish outfit Catz ‘N Dogz. With their ‘Basic Colour Theory: Remixed’ album receiving an array of support from the industry’s leading names, the ‘Upsi Bubsi’ EP which followed in May showcased a different style of their musical prowess. Never showing any signs of stalling when it comes to their music output, Catz ‘N Dogz proudly announce their latest EP titled ‘It’s Happening/Our Crazy’ set for release this November.

With the EP drawing influence from varying styles, the opening track ‘It’s Happening’ fuses together elements of house and disco creating an assured dance floor ready production. Intec is known to many a fan of House and Techno as a scene leading label set up by the iconic Carl Cox who has been at the forefront of DJ culture since the early 90s.

With a roster of artists including the label boss himself plus Nicole Moudaber, Jon Rundell, Marco Bailey, Carlo Lio, Cristian Varela and Dosem amongst many others of a similar calibre.

This new release is from Intec regulars Drumcomplex & Roel Salemink who with this release makes their fifth appearance on the label as well as featuring their debut collaboration album in 2014.

Having also released music on Bush Records, Bulletdodge and Marco Baileys label MB Elektronics, the pair are no strangers to the world's Techno scene, and this release showcases their impressive sound in all its glory.

German born Arnd Reichow aka Drumcomplex and Dutch native Roel Salemink are both respected solo artists in their own right, but when the pair come together their complimenting styles have produced some of their most compelling work.

The first track Ampex is packed with tension thats brought to life by the underlying menace of its melody. Tom drums bubble up in a fast flowing rhythm which is soon complimented by a hard hitting clap to provide some added aggression. Taking no prisoners, this is dark and dancefloor focused Techno at its most exhilarating.

Second is Eighties which starts with looped chords that build with suspense as the track develops. When the main breakdown hits, so does the roar of the bass synth, which then tears through the track with devastating force. Peak time and perfect, this track is packed with a raw energy and cryptic sense of excitement.

Defining summer 2016 with a huge club weapon, Santé drops ‘Bring Back’ ahead of announcing the release of his second artist album ‘House Lessons’ via his own Berlin based imprint AVOTRE.

Opening with our Debut Transmission and his signature jacking sound, Santé wastes no time setting the pace on the release’s title track ‘Bring Back’. The funky vocal sample then marks the first of many huge drops and adds an element of soul to an already huge club record, while the clapping beat dances effortlessly over the huge rolling bass lines. ‘Bring Back’ cleverly finds the perfect blend of deeply underground aesthetics while keeping the vibe rooted firmly on the dance floor.

The release is rounded off with an equally as massive remix from Leeds native and regular AVOTRE alumni Dale Howard, who masterfully reworks the original to bring his unique sound to the record, while staying true to the original.

Irish born, Los Angeles based label boss and producer SIAN has announced his label Octopus 100th release on the 12th December with their new compilation OCTOPUS100.

The compilation will feature a hand-picked selection of tracks as well as remixed classics from artists including Pleasurekraft, Juheun, Shelley Johannson, Carlo Lio and Loco & Jam to name a few. Octopus will be hosting a series of pop-up events “Octopus100’ in the USA towards the end of the year and into 2017, where they will be focusing on small intimate venues with no more than 100 guests, all these events will be showcasing the best of Octopus roster artists as well as the exclusive merchandise.

Early 2017 will see a follow up series called “Vs” where tracks from Mark Reeve, Gregor Tresher, Julian Jewell and SIAN have already been confirmed to be released as support singles.
