Jamie Jones has always had the golden touch when it comes to remixes and his sumptuous edit takes no prisoners. 

There's a seriously heavy bassline running throughout and the serene vocals of Eglė Sirvydytė​ are kept intact. It's a bit of a monster and some warped gurgles and rumbles give it a darkened edge. Check it.

Solardo is a name that’s been coming up an awful lot recently, and for all the right reasons. The collective moniker of MRK1 and James Eliot, it has come to mean the exciting new face of UK dance music, unleashing cutting edge house and techno to devastating effect.

After their breakthrough single, ‘New Jam’, first turned up in the DT office, it didn’t take long for us to jump on the Solardo bandwagon. Signed to Viva Music, the track went on to become an Ibiza anthem over the summer, picking up heavy play from well, pretty much everyone. 

We’ve teamed up with them again to help them celebrate the big 10k mark on Facebook to give away a brand new track ‘Play You’ below. Who said there’s no such thing as a free lunch?

Released on Laidback Luke’s respected imprint, Mixmash Records, German duo Inpetto are back with their infectious track, ‘How We Used To Do’ released on 7th March 2016. Bursting full of high energy from the start, ‘How We Used To Do’ is an instant crowd pleaser. The Duderstadt brothers are continuing to prove themselves as one of Europe’s ingenious DJ acts.

The German duo are well known for their 1999 smash,‘Toca’s Miracle’ and have since become fiercely in-demand for their remixing capabilities. With praise from the likes of Axwell and David Guetta to name a few, their original material brings their talent to the forefront.

‘How We Used To Do’ takes a nineties dance influenced piano melody and a powerful vocal hook, combined with bouncing house beats and complex synth melodies is sure to fill dancefloors all over the world.

Starting off the year in style, Random Soul have their latest slice of luscious house music. “Take My Heart” is piano driven house cut with a breakdown that lifts you right up. There is plenty of feel good piano licks and a cleverly treated vocal hook from Yogi, and some driving bass and chord stabs to boot. TMH boasts all the usual clean production skills you’d expect from an RS production, whilst tipping the cap to their funkier, soulful roots. Do not underestimate this though, there is plenty of grunt under the hood for a big sound system.
Remixing the record is Brisbane’s rising star, Mark Maxwell. With a driving chord groove, rising synth melodies and dreamy vocal production, M.M. takes the track a little deeper. His vibes are right inline for any classic Deep house fan. Keep you ears warm for his upcoming solo EP too, dropping soon on RSR!
Finally, we enlisted UK artists Rich Pinder & DJOKO for this package. Having had a steady output on labels like Simma Black, DVine Sounds, Street King and Amplified records, the lads know their way around the techier groove. This stomping remix is designed to get the speakers rolling at 4am in every sweaty dark disco. Throbbing bass, twisted vocals, synth stabs and acid melodies help take this remix to the border of Tech House and Techno and we LOVE IT!

Stepping away from his usual sound, Barato brings with him an old-school, energetic bounce to this ten track offering, inviting some top names to join him for the ride.

“Past Forward is about taking musical influences from my past coming up as a young DJ…and bringing them forward into my own sound. It’s been an incredible experience working on this album and to be releasing it on Hot Creations has given me the space and freedom to create something that is a departure from what I’m typically known for. The album begins with Over You. Swirling arpeggios dance around the pulsating beat, providing the perfect backdrop for the poppy, yet soulful vocals of Wayne Tennant . This leads neatly into A Sun’s Dream, which is exactly that – a warm, sunny track, pure party-time house produced alongside the French composers and afro-soul singers , Djeuhdjoah & Lieutenant Nicholson . Up next is Context featuring Lost BOUL. & NB76 – the aliases of Paolo Rocco and Nathan himself. It’s a techier affair with contrasting elements that take the track through a range of twists and turns. She’s A Rockstar, produced alongside fellow Canadian Room 303 , picks up the pace with its infectious rhythm and playful vocal hook.

On In Ya Soul Barato utilises a booty-house style bassline, enlisting Chicago’s Kid Enigma to provide the vocals. High Rez brings back the sunny vibes with a tantalising guitar hook and dreamy piano topline, juxtaposed against the deep, whirring bassline. The slow, yet assured drum beat of Bubbles is up next with its woozy bass and gentile percussion sending the listener on a trance-inducing journey into the cosmos. Don’t Say It features the smouldering vocals of Mikey V, layered over a throbbing beat that looks set to be one of Hot Creation’s summer anthems. Penultimate track Yo Yo has a sturdy bounce and effortlessly blends cowbells and suspenseful synths.
The album closes out with Crazy – a track that’s full to the brim of high energy with a marching bassline that’s sure to cause a commotion on dance-floors across the globe.

Nathan Barato has been a key figure in dance music for some time. His diverse sets have led to residencies at some of the industry’s hottest nights including Paradise and Elrow. He’s had a slew of hits on impressive imprints such as Hottrax, REKIDS, Relief and Saved Records. As well as this, Barato also heads up the RAWthentic label alongside Carlo Lio, which has charted releases from top artists including DJ Deeon and Stacey Pullen.
