Monday after the storm

Some of us were stuck on the road after BRC closed, some of us lost days of effort and work, some of us played in playa mud, and in the case of Mayan Warrior… were hit by lightning.

Rebolledo was stuck on the highway after the city closed and he couldn't play with Damian as “Mental”. It turned out we had a world famous DJ neighbor who kindly agreed to play for us. Out of respect for other camps and because it wasn't scheduled we are not releasing his name but Monday was the Mayan Warrior camp’s official virgin night at Burning Man and turn out to be amazing.

Thank you very much to the special guest that played all night and to his girlfriend that spend her first Burning Man night with us.  The music was perfect and we will never forget how Embrace looked with the lasers painting their minds.

Now we’ve got all that bragging out of the way let us accompany our unveiling of an fresh cut from Sean McCabe by presenting you the world premiere of the Ganzfeld Effect remix of Sugar Hill & Wasabi’s ‘It’s On You’. One half their new 2 cut remix package - the other being a rework from Purple Disco Machine – Manchester producer Ganzfeld Effect’s reimagining sees the classic M1 organ be placed centre stagew for a remix as happy moving a dancefloor as destroying the airwaves. Slated to arrive November 24 via Mark Knight’s esteemed Toolroom Records you can check out Ganfeld’s synth-driven remix of ‘It’s On You’ in it’s its foot stomping splendour now.

First coming to our attention when he rocketed into the Top 40 with his Little Nikki collaboration 'Right Before My Eyes', before landing remix requests from Oliver Heldens and Wilkinson, things are looking pretty good for London's DJ S.K.T with 'Take Me Away' smashing the airwaves and dancefloors alike as it becomes one of the anthems of the year.

Sampling the vocals of the seminal rave track of the same name by True Faith we're sure you'll be hearing plenty of this one as the mercury begins to rise.

Offering the crowd a blend of uplifting vocals and tough tech beats, she has quickly become a recognised name on the circuit. Not afraid to take the crowd on a journey Jess digs deep in to the archives and sets the floor alight with a mix of sounds from 70's disco, 80's groove, 90's garage through to pioneering beats.

Jess heads up A & R for hot new label D-Vine Sounds which is owned by Sam Divine, along with a guest mix on the world famous Rinse FM to name but a few achievements.  She is a regular at Ministry Of Sound, EGG, Lightbox & Fire and has also played a number of times at the infamous Studio 338 to a full capacity terrace.  Jess is crafting her way to be hot property on the global party scene, she brings energy and education to her crowd, with remixes and edits that are show stopping. Jess has supported some of the biggest names in the industry, among the likes of Richy Ahmed, Sam Divine, Lee Foss, Claude Von Stroke, Justin Martin, Hannah Wants, Sonny Fodera, Cristoph, Saytek Live to name just a few! Just recently she has headlined SIN in Dublin & an upcoming party in Dominican Republic.

LEON and Dennis Cruz join forces to create a stomper of a track, dropping on Crosstown Rebels this September. The inimitable Ewan Pearson steps up to create his own unique take on the record. 

The original version of My Hood lays down a heady, sleazy groove with a womping baseline and dizzying synths, featuring vocals from BETA MAX. The legendary Ewan Pearson takes the track in a whole new direction, pitching it down and adding a slice of funk to proceedings with a groove laden guitar riff. Prolific producer Pearson has been making records since the mid-nineties, providing remixes for the Chemical Brothers, Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp and Metronomy as well as releasing his own productions under a number of guises on imprints such as Visionquest and Kompakt. The record looks set to be a massive release for Crosstown Rebels and has already become a huge anthem in Damian Lazarus’ sets this summer. 

Italian born producer LEON has produced for a number of seminal imprints including Relief Records and Monologue Music and has remixed for the likes of Audiofly and Ninetoes. He can count sets at some of the world’s most valued clubs and festivals including; Pacha, Ministry Of Sound, Zouk and Sunwaves. Dennis Cruz’s creations have earnt him high praise from esteemed outlets such as Mixmag, BBC Radio 1 and DJ Mag. He’s played at renowned institutions Fabric and Privilege and has released on key labels such as Solid Grooves, Hot Creations and Moon Harbour. He was also awarded the coveted accolade of Best Producer in the 2017 DJ Awards.

Narwal shows the groovy side of these Dutch masters of melodies. Clear percussion elements and synth-hits are mixed nicely with that catchy long-stretched synth melody. Our good friend Ivan Masa delivered the remix of Narwal and continued on their vibe, resulting in a neat melodic house hit, watch the charts!"
