Already a well established DJ in his native Birmingham - co-founding the city's 2:31 afterparties - Tom Shorterz has now set his eyes on a bigger prize: conquering the UK house and bass music scene.

Using urban taste-makers Rinse as his base of operations, Tom's skills behind the decks now reach a wider audience than ever before via his weekly Rinse FM show. Now he's turned out a pair of dance floor-driving house numbers for the label, and we've got an exclusive preview of one of them just for you lovely DT readers!

Tom's production in 'The Grid' gives off a real less-is-more vibe; a basic four-to-the-floor beat is partnered with a jaunty bass line, bound to get feet shuffling at all the festivals this summer. It's success in simplicity; grab yourself a copy from August 4th.
