House legend and Rinse FM resident Shadow Child has teamed up with Doorly on new single ‘Climbing (Piano Weapon)’, which is now available to stream on Soundcloud. Following a premiere on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, the new vocal version of 'Piano Weapon' (co-written by MNEK) will be released by Polydor Records this November. Following a run of remixes for big names such as Hot Natured, London Grammar and most recently Duke Dumont, Shadow Child is currently working on original material and playing a run of live dates in Ibiza and across the UK including a London show supporting the legendary Groove Armada.
 
Simon Neale’s darker, bass-heavy alter ego Shadow Child was born in 2012 with the signing of his bassline house classic ‘String Thing’ to Dirtybird Records. Championed across the world by DJs including Annie Mac, Jamie Jones and Eats Everything, Shadow Child’s early house tracks have attracted a global fan base. Now playing the closing shows on his Summer 2014 tour, Shadow Child will be hitting the studio to complete his debut full-length release. Until then, head to Soundcloud to stream ‘Piano Weapon’ and get stuck into his Rinse FM guest mix series featuring the biggest names in UK house.

Next to regulars like Llewellyn, Jennifer Touch, Reznik & Mikesh and New Hook, the Leipzig-based record label invited befriended acts Zombies In Miami and Paulor to contribution to the bundle as well. Titled ‘Falling Apart’, label mainstay Llewellyn competently connects the dots between ’80s synth aesthetics, silky arpeggios and peculiar vocal-parts. Tip!

The sampler opens with his remix of Aeroplane’s 2017 ‘Love On Hold’ featuring Tawatha Agee, stripping back the contemporary nu-disco classic, soft chimes and a lilting beat transform the track, while maintaining its irresistible dancefloor capabilities. Up next, Dr Packer turns his hand at an essential from the Defected catalogue, ATFC’s 2001 hit ‘Sleep Talk’ featuring the inimitable vocals of Lisa Millett.
