Memory is one of our greatest gifts; it gives us access to time, to identity, to dreams. Guided by the wisdom of Jackson Sonnanfeld-Arden, discoverer of the Nine Pure Tones, I created 1979 as a concept album through which I could share his brilliant theory, and my life-long infatuation with memory.

In start 2016 I collaborated with norwegian based composer Christian Wibe creating a toolbox of synth presets for him, to assist him scoring What Happened to Monday - a movie set to release on Netflix August 18. 

I designed presets in Zebra 2, Diva and Omnisphere 2 forging just around 40 presets with different character to fit various scenes in the movie from pulsing bassline sequences to howling soundscapes, screaming synth leads and other elements to drive the score.

The presets I created for Mr. Wibe are released as free updates to Luftrum 13 for Zebra 2 and Luftrum 14 for Omnisphere 2 on August 18.

The Diva presets will be released together with Luftrum 16 a coming soundset for Diva to be out mid September. Luftrum 16 is also a collaboration with sound designer Nico Herz aka Bigtone, creating 64 presets each for a total of 128 new Diva presets.

From Colombia, comes episode number 39 of the series sent by Vandel. Deep soulful grooves with clear jazz, soul and funk influences can be listened to in the mix, representing the sound of the house music record label Discos Nutabe, based in Medellin, where Camilo is the curator and an active dj of the house music scene playing on a regular basis on clubs like Bar Calle 9+1.

With previous appearances on some various artists compilations, Vandel made his debut 12" called 'Inundación' in 2016, released on Discos Nutabe, which today celebrates 4 years of existence.

The project touches various genres and influences, analog and digital techniques for an extensive research in sound design.
"Post-digital Research" aims at exploring what, in the afterglow of digital art and culture, lies beyond the digital as a form of existence. We are witnessing fundamental changes: we no longer distinguish between online and off-line or analogue and digital practices. It has become embedded in almost every contemporary aesthetic practice. In this, our focus of attention somewhat shifts: we become interested in the renewed significance of the technologies we left behind (the role of print, magnetic tapes, floppy disks, etc.).
We do not wish to claim a research interest in a future predetermined by the digital, nor do we want to do away with the digital. Instead we will attempt to explore how to practice research in a culture where the digital has become a cultural residue that consumes resources, even producing new forms of trash and overloaded forms of existence. the aesthetics and politics of the digital "during the transition to new cultural forms are still unknown to us". With this call for "Post-digital Research" we do not wish to set a particular direction for research, but rather provide a speculative and experimental framework for research in a post-digital culture. We therefore invite proposals that take diverse perspectives to open up some of the paradoxes of contemporary thinking and technologically-informed artistic practice after the digital.
データコード tells of abstract ambient soundscapes, surrounded by residual datas, randomly memory allocations, transmission problems, video signals, h/v sync, interferences, distortions, glitch, granular techniques and no-input noise to access certain parts of the mind through contemporary and avant-garde experimental music.
