The record was made entirely with one monophonic analogue synthesizer (an Arturia Minibrute) and just a few raw field recordings, providing some natural background noise. Having been created during the various lockdowns, working with constraints seemed to me the most natural thing to explore. Considering also that since I bought the synthesizer I struggled to get out of it an "ambient" sound of some kind, my attempt was also to work with something problematic. Both things paralleled the limitations and troubles we experienced in real life. The raw sounds of the filtered oscillators, altered only by some pedal fx and sometimes live-looped through an ipad app, were subsequently equalized and layered.
