Dereck, a DJ and music lover based in the city of Arica, Chile.
He dedicates his life to music, especially electronic music, contributing to several important local events, as well as making his mark on platforms such as SoundCloud and Instagram.
He began his career as a DJ in 2013, forging his sound thanks to the foundations laid by dubstep, which today is characterised by its heavy yet transcendental sound.

He borders on the darkest confines of electronic music and brings it to the dance floor, because that's what it's all about: music without barriers or rules to control it.
Electro, acid, break and industrial music are part of his identity as a DJ today, with influences such as Nite Fleit, Human Rebellion, The Deserter and many others.

Today, thanks to these influences, he has consolidated his position as an electronic musician with a touch of rebellion, subconsciousness and reality in motion.

Dave Clarke - White Noise #1034 (Electro) (2025.10.24)

Electro producer ARA-U began his musical journey in the late ‘90s, playing a pivotal role in developing the underground scene in South America. His early sets fused vinyl and synths, using 
a hybrid setup of Roland machine drums, turntables, and FX to explore Acid and Breaks.

Now based in the UK for over two decades, ARA-U’s sound remains rooted in raw analogue Electro, showcasing his unrelenting passion for the sound. 

As the founder of No Static Automatic (NS/A), ARA-U celebrates the label’s 5th anniversary this year. 
Founded in 2020 the label has established itself as a respected home for underground Electro from across the world. 
Releases have come from figures from the genre with Ed DMX, Radioactive Man, Kronos Device, Second Storey, Ben Pest, Manao and many more.

This year he released a collaboration 
with Ben Pest on NS/A and a remix for Radioactiveman‘s track “Do it till your satisfied“ on the Jam Out The Mix remix package.  
His Electro-Punk band Return of the Luddites’ debut album will release next year as well as his own solo LP.

ARA-U’s own productions have not only been released on NS/A. Various EPs and tracks have dropped across Avoidant, Censor Music, Co-Accused Records, Bass agenda as well as his 2019 collaboration with Radioactive Man ‘Plastic Attack EP’ on Asking For Trouble.

His productions and NS/A releases alike have received support from some of the most respected DJs with support from the likes of Helena Hauff, DJ Bone, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Mad Miran, Jerome Hill, Alienata and Solid Blake and have been featured in Resident Advisor, Mixmag Spain and DJ Mag.

As well as putting the finishing touches to his first album, ARA-U has developed a hardware live set that channels his take on analogue sounds - traversing machine funk, driving basslines and dark pads. 

His live performances are as dynamic and raw as his productions, keeping his music authentic and raw to the core.

BIO: 

With a career spanning back to the vibrant 1980s, he has been a DJ and producer deeply immersed in the world of club and dance music, captivating audiences in major nightclubs. A lifelong lover of electronic music, his passion began with his very first vinyl record in the 70s, "Die Menschmaschine," by Kraftwerk which he had to buy with his father because he was too young to purchase it himself. Based in Germany, he embarks on a new journey with his project, focusing exclusively on the electrifying realm of electronic sounds.

Introducing "Elektronensturm", a fresh mix series designed to showcase the finest electronic productions. Rubber emphasizes contemporary tracks while occasionally revisiting timeless classics, ensuring a dynamic listening experience. In TIME TO FACE, Boris Divider seems to operate from an invisible sub-layer of the system, where machines no longer execute orders—they interpret, react and reconfigure themselves. Each track works as a fragment of a world in mutation, a territory where the friction between algorithm and synthetic consciousness generates brief sparks of humanity. On Walls, structures rise like barriers erected by the network itself, while Time To Face opens the first emotional fracture within this controlled environment. Benchmark Test #T08A2 acts as a short diagnostic interlude, an internal check-up that prepares the ground for Rival, where the tension amplifies and takes shape as an open confrontation between forces that can no longer turn back. A cold, persistent inner pulse suggests that something is about to break—or awaken.

It is in Time To Face and, especially, Your Fate that this fracture becomes pure emotion. Divider introduces melodies that do not intend to move you, yet inevitably do; minimal gestures that feel like residual memory trapped between cables and predictive models.
