I did a remix of the song Deny My Blood by Delight ~20 years ago and it sounded awesome at the time. Since I only have bad quality mixes of that and long having lost the original session + tracks, I decided to rebuild roughly the same remix from scratch (which included sourcing/sampling the artist's cd again). This time I was able to separate the piano and the vocals and I also found some of the original drum tracks. This new remix isn't an exact re-creation - it's close - but my favorite passages were approximated and I experimented with the rest. Hope you enjoy it.

This track was done at some point during early 2017 while mixing Simulacrum, which was recorded in late 2016. This track was labelled as "soundcloud exclusive 2" in my archive and is probably a near-final mix. Montauk would take a hiatus and this track was a casualty. It's a dope idea if a little long.

Permaban

This track was originally posted ~May 2017 when we were doing solo projects, intended as a 'stopgap Montauk EP'. This version was removed later that year only to be reworked and released as " Friends You keep" by Chauncy a while later. This is the original Montauk version and is interesting on its own.

Frenemy

featuring Saturday Morning Snuff and James Iha.

Chauncy from SMS was working on some demos in 2016 and offered this instrumental track to me for vocals so I obliged but it wasn't good enough to put on his record. 

In 2017 I made a different project out of it by using a recording of James Iha talking to a crowd at a Perfect Circle concert in place of the main vocals. The drums on this version are also different as well as some minor changes and some added backing vocals.

I'm still madly in love with this slow plodding doom riff that eventually releases into a pixies-ish send off. Hats off to Chauncy from SMS. Sucks that I couldn't do this track justice with proper vocals but sometimes you take an L and move on.
