Pulling one from the archives for this months podcast and it’s a live mix taken from Break Thru earlier this year in March.  

We landed at the venue fresh from an ALL day rave in Bristol, so I was in full on party mode by the time we arrived Hare & Hounds for the event.  We’d made a bunch of new friends on the train, even dragged a few of em along for the rave too.  We we’re talking about all things dnb on the journey back to brum and were all so engrossed in conversation a couple of our new firends even missed their stop!!!

Whilst a little rough around the edges, this mix fully captures the vibe we we’re all on that day.  Loads of classic liquid dnb bangers with a healthy dose of rollers!!

Strobe makes his debut on the mighty Data Transmission Radio, with his Bass Odyssey Show. Known for taking the listener on a journey through all eras of drum & bass with his two hour long plus mixes, and knack for juggling basslines to create new riffs, the Bass Odyssey shouldn’t stray too far from that.
The first half episode one contains new and unreleased music from Break, Benny L, Promo Zo, In Reach Records, Goldie, MEL x Syran & more. The Drum & Bass Odyssey With Strobe EP01

For installment 105 I cycled through a variety of sounds. As is usually the case, I started out on a deeper melodic vibe and gradually tried to inch my way up through some soulful liquid sounds. For the second hour I pushed the energy up into some upbeat minimal roller territory before briefly peaking into an almost neuro tech sound. Last 20 - 30 minutes or so cools things back off into smoother expansive  vibey rollers.

It was a fun, bright and positive summer day with the usual suspects pulling up in the chat. Always grateful for the stream support. I'll be taking July 1st off to play with Hugh Hardie and MC Fava in the Georgia woods for Summer Slam. If you're in the area, I'd love to see you IRL!
