▌I Did you have a mentor?
We didn't grow up in the same city and had very different mentors in the game. For Mikael it is the legendary danish DJ/Producer/label owner/party starter Kenneth Bager who is truly an icon in the Danish music business as well as abroad on particularly Ibiza. He helped out with a lot of questions and specifically with regards to producing music and arranging tracks for the dance floor. Fun fact: Kenneth was in the DJ Mag Top 100 the first time it was created back in 1993.

For Jens it was was Rene Christensen better known as Noir who was a great guide both in the how to DJing as well as giving out production tips already back in 2005.

Safe to say we are very privileged to have some very wise mentors and we pay back many times to the local artists in Denmark and sometimes even abroad with questions in our DM in Instagram.

▌II Which artist influenced you a lot?
A lot of inspiration comes from Maceo Plex from the earlier times with his kind of indie dance/disco style with immaculate baselines. Patrice Bäumel with his loopy atmospheric sound designs. 

▌III How did you prepare this mix and what was your main inspiration?
This mix was designed differently than most our dj mixes because it was designed with a starting track and then we went into melodic keys that matched throughout the set in the keys of Em, Gm, Bm. This also means that it isn't the "usual" lots of Track ID's to make it new and interesting. Because of last few years it means that so much music has not been played out so we do like to honor some of them by ensuring we don't forget these productions.
