Recorded live at The Catacombs in Tampa Florida for my monthly residency, Dark Heart Disco.

Dark Heart Disco is a sonic exploration of Dark Disco, Industrial, Synthpop, Italo Disco, EBM and New Beat in the format and context of rave music. 

From arpeggios to acid, from 909 kick drums to breakbeats, resident djs Brian Busto & Rat Galactic will take you from an early 80’s discoteca, to a 90’s warehouse rave, to the Haçienda and back again.

Portamento is an Electronic producer, DJ and engineer interested in club culture related music. Originally from Merseyside, but now based in London, Portamento’s (real name Mathew Lomas) show focuses on Electronic, House and break influenced music, highlighting the more abstract and explorative composers within these fields. As an Electronic producer, Portamento’s music fuses explorative sound design and effects with samples and synth-based music. Burnt Orange, his monthly show will feature guest mixes, live sets and chats about compositional processes. His music has been released on Nervous records, NX Records and has been a featured artist on BBC introducing.

Going through the catacombs and was delighted to come across this little peiece of Scott historty - my set @ one of the great Tropical Parties - original gangster  which were then, and continue to be, some of the dopest parties in town, required attendance for those with even a passing taste for underground house and tech - As a then young kid, i was   over the moon to get to throw down some tunes at a kick ass party.
