Who loves you? Yes it may be cold and grey here in the UK but we got just the thing to warm on even the coldest of hearts on a day like today with an extra special mix from Hideout favourite Doorly to mark 5 years of the definitive Croatian festival.

Now we could wax lyrical about how much we’ve enjoyed spending the last half a decade on Dalmatian Coast enjoying Hideout but we think it’s better we let Doorly take the reins so here are his thoughts on the development of the festival and the inspirations behind the mix before taking you on a journey to somewhere the weather is warm, the waters are crystal clear and the only thing cold is the ice in your drink. Enjoy.

“I’m very proud to have played every Hideout festival so far since its creation and going into its 5th year i can confidently tell you that this is THE best festival in the world, I’m always harping on about it but seriously it never lets me down.  Some of the best memories of my career have been made playing those spine tinglingly special sunrise sets and anyone that’s been there with me I’m sure will agree with me on how special those sunrises were.  So to celebrate the 5th Anniversary i decided to do a special 5 Years of Hideout Sunrises Mixtape for you and I’ve picked out some tunes played by either myself of some of the other artists that make the hairs stand up on the back of my neck thinking of those moments on the beach in Croatia. Loco Dice dropping Steve silk Hurley – Say The word at a rammed Aquarius at the end of his set or Jackmaster Unleashing Kolsch – Der Alte for the first time i’d heard it.  I hope this brings back some nice memories for you lot as well!

Bombyce April Funk Mix 2015

There's not much we feel we need to say about Flashmob. The Milan duo's rise over the four years is testament enough to their talent as producers and DJs; from smash hits for Get Physical and Defected, to remixes on VIVa, FFRR and DFTD, and inclusion on numerous compilations.

The pair, formed of Danny and Alessandro, have progressed at lightning speed, setting up their own Flashmob label, and even a sub-label, Flashmob Ltd. The head honchos have released through both imprints already this year, plus they've only gone and dropped a hugely successful EP on Objektivity - there's just no stopping these guys!

You can catch Flashmob playing at London's biggest Sunday party, ABODE, tomorrow (26th April) at Studio 338. The duo will be joined by all the ABODE regulars, including Longplay, Taylor and ANoR. Mix of the Day: Flashmob

When Shindig  announced that they’d be returning to Newcastle Quayside site Spillers Wharf for a second ‘By Day, By Night’ event it’s fair to say it caused a fair amount of excitement here at DT HQ (we’re an excitable bunch, we know…) and gave us good reason to plan a jaunt up North.

Taking place over the Bank Holiday Weekend attracting a combined capacity of 15,000 on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd May we literally cannot wait to cut some shapes at the festivals various venues including two additional “BYNIGHT” club events at Shindig’s regular pop up home, Warehouse 34 on Hoults Yard.

Building upon the huge success of the last year 2015 sees Shindig incorporate a second day into the programming along with a series of affiliated satellite events across the city and the airwaves as the likes of Richie Hawtin, Annie Mac, Andhim, Hannah Wants, Andrea Oliva, Dubfire, Maceo Plex, Pete Tong and today’s Mix Of The Day contributor Ian Blevins roll into town.

If you made the annual pilgrimage to Ibiza last summer then you're probably already familiar with the author of today’s mix of the day Ian Blevins, who is now ramping up his production game for 2015 by following up on his previous release on Keep It Zen Records with new EP for Future Boogie. His debut on the label, the Flapjacks EP sees Blevins hook up with Phil Moody under his Al Gobi alias for four melodic cuts we’re sure you’ll be hearing plenty of as the temperature begins to rise.

Manchester (UK) based Techno producer Callum Plant first appeared on DEAD CERT. Records in 2014 when he collaborated with Carlo Ribeiro on a track titled "Demand." It was a big hit picking up support from Luigi Madonna who played it in his mix for Hans Bouffmyhre’s podcast series linked to his label Sleaze Records. Other people who supported the track included Richie Hawtin, Sam Paganini, Pig&Dan, Joseph Capriati, Chris Liebing and Truncate to name just a few. 

A rising star, Callum has also had music released on labels including Owen Sands and Justin Kase's Ill Bomb Records plus Lex Gorrie's label Unknown Territory. Now he presents his first solo EP on DEAD CERT. Records. 

The release features two original tracks and two separate remixes from Rommek and XHEI. 

Based in London (UK) Rommek is a resident at influential London club night Dazed & Confused, also hosting his Erosion show on Seance Radio. He is an accomplished producer who has previously released on Emmanuel's label ARTS, Sonntag Morgen and Weekend Circuit. 

Argentinian XHEI makes his return to DEAD CERT. Records after the release of his Memorial EP in 2014. Having since released on labels including CLR, Dynamic Reflection, Illegal Alien and Rebekah’s label Decoy, he is a hyped producer and deservedly so. 

The first original track titled "Zhode" begins this fiery package, straight into a raw beat with crunching hats and drums heavy enough to break concrete. Its moody atmosphere is brought to life by sweeping industrial sounds that scrape through the mix like a metal bar being dragged over a stone floor. Powerful and energetic it’s fierce and aggressive with dark undertones that are perfect for the dancefloor. 

Remixing Zhode is Rommek who lifts the BPM to add forward momentum and increase the energy. Keeping the originals dark and industrial sounds he strips back some of the drums to create space and increase the dark atmosphere already present in the original. Tough and hypnotic his remix has all the originals charm, but added menace and intensity. 

Track three titled "Xhang" is the second of Callum’s original tracks. With a shuffling groove and reduced tempo, the track is less energetic than his first on the EP but just as intense. Thick with grit this dirty beast of a roller is heavily focused on broken rhythms and a pounding kick. Like an approaching storm, eerie winds breeze passed your ears and transport your brain to the bleak industrial landscapes of another world, whilst monstrous sounds create nervous excitement of the unknown. 

The last track is XHEI’s remix of Xhang and he steps up the energy by throwing away the originals broken rhythm, which he replaces with a pulsating bass line to create a straight down the line rolling groove. Taking no prisoners it has all of the originals industrial appeal but a high octane increased tempo, which makes it perfectly suited to peak time DJ sets.

There are few names more revered than Greg Wilson when it comes to DJing. In a time when the word legend gets thrown around referring to anyone vaguely involved in the formative years of house, Greg is one of the few names genuinely deserving of that status. From his hugely popular residencies in the early eighties at Wigan Pier and Manchester's majorly influential clubs Legend and The Hacienda, his role in the development of electronic music in the UK cannot be overstated.

Having begun DJing in 1975, 2015 sees Greg celebrate his fourth decade as a DJ and so we thought we'd invite him mark the occasion in the best possible way - by serving up a fresh set of selections for us to wrap our ears around.

Mixed in celebration of two anniversaries - he is also due to touch down in Liverpool December 5th for unconventional party starters Freeze's 10th year celebrations - the Super Weird Substance boss again showcases why he's still at the top of the tree all these years on. Here's to the next 40 Greg!

We know what you're thinking: what on earth does CDC stand for? Well I'm afraid we're unable to help you out on that front as despite our best sleuthing efforts (we donned a houndstooth coat and hat whilst wandering around with an oversized magnifying glass and pipe to no avail) just what those three little letters stand for remain a mystery. What we do know however, is that the fast rising duo operating under the alias's fierce reputation for their work in the studio is more than well deserved. Yes, the the past few years have been kind to CDC, seeing them serve up a number of quality releases on their own Carpe Diem Musica imprint as well as Circus Recordings, Material and Hot Creations.

It's their skills behind the wheels of steel we're interested in today though, inviting the pairing to showcase their dexterity on their decks as they deliver a trademark mix for you to wrap your ears around. Full of energy, we're expecting big things from the pairing in 2016 with a series of high profile remixes set to land in the early part of next year.

Two years on since his BR debut in Berlin, our attention is drawn once again to Benedikt Frey and his Lopasura (Love, Pain, Sunshine & Rain) imprint. Since its 2012 formation, Lopasura has housed Benedikt's own releases. Following on from the Connect Four compilation by Drvg Cvltvre, Mark Forshaw, The Acid Mercenaries and Benedikt himself, he now returns with the label's fourth release. Out of the Fog showcases a trio of analogue-laden techno mastery. The title track opens proceedings fittingly. Acid low-tessitura chords hiss continuously underneath while siren synths whir in and out in their grandeur, peaking to symphonic effect before fading back into the dark. A sense of drama that encompasses Love, Pain, Sunshine & Rain comprehensively.
