Rafa, aka Rafael Salvador, has been at the forefront of the New York City Jungle Drum & Bass scene both as a promoter and as a DJ since 2008.  He’s known for pushing the deeper styles of the spectrum and playing both upfront and classic selections.

Rafa co-founded New York City’s seminal Natural Selection party in 2011.  The brand is known for hosting both new and established performers and for pushing the envelope to represent Jungle Drum & Bass to its fullest.

He has played on bills that include Adred, Bailey, Commix, dBridge, Doc Scott, DRS, Kasra, Lenzman, LSB, Marcus Intalex, Randall, Raw Q, Robert Manos, Saxxon, Seba, SpectraSoul, and T.R.A.C.

 Born and raised in Vancouver's rave scene, JRoy became engulfed by the sounds of Jungle and Drum and Bass. In his early twenties, he took his love for the music from the dance, to the decks.  Having played a wide array of different events, from house parties to renegade beach parties, he eventually got the opportunity to play at one of B.C.’s premier music festivals; Electric Love. There, he got the opportunity to share the stage with some of the biggest names in the game, fueling his ambition and inspiring him to go further.
 More recently, JRoy has began creating  Vancouver’s newest DnB company, 170+ Productions. The astounding rate of growth and success wouldn’t be possible without the wicked support from his Who Knew family, and of course his business partner and close friend, Aaron Payne.   
  JRoy's addition to the local community has been received as nothing less than an amazing and humble way to give back to the music that has made him the passionate and talented DJ that he is today.
