For a moment towards the end of this 2 hour stream I panicked when the screen on my MacBook went black and I realized Rekordbox had crashed, because in my mind this meant that this recording would be lost. Unbeknownst to me there's an auto-save function that preserves a copy I was able to retrieve after rebooting the software. The ending here is a little abrupt but the set is mostly all there!

Seems like at 90 odd episodes in I figured out that people apparently like... dancefloor DNB? 😑🤣  After last week's high energy stream I noticed people really responded when I brought up the intensity levels so I decided to try the same trick again this week by pushing the energy up at the end instead of going down (which is how I usually end a stream).  Perhaps unsurprisingly, people went apeshit with the emotes and bits and we got another Hype Train going (until the somewhat unfortunate RB crash put and end to that madness lmao)

All in all, a good time was had by all. My favorite parts are still the more nuanced and quiet parts in the first hour, but I personally like a little bit of everything and I like giving people what they want to hear... It's what a DJ does.

Multi Award winning Ransom, hailing from Cardiff, Wales has been djing for over 18 years now, and has played for every major event in Cardiff, his skills behind the decks have also taken him to some of the Major cities in the U.K., and has even got the attention of a Swedish Drum and Bass night called Frequency, headlining this event out in Gothenburg, Sweden. He has also shown he is a proven international artists by playing out in Prague. Ransom has worked his absolute socks off to get to the position he is in, and this paid off in 2017 by winning the Cardiff Music Awards 'Best Dj' at the aforementioned awards ceremony as well as ‘Best DJ Set’ at the Immersed Festival awards. He has supported pretty much every Headline DJ in his career so far, it would be easier to list the DJ's who he HASN'T supported the list is that long! His fast mixing and brilliant selection always guarantees that the ravers do not leave the dance floor for the entirety of his set. Be it on 2 or 3 decks it makes no odds to Ransom, his energetic sets and his fast paced style mixed together with his knowledge of Drum and Bass throughout the years always guarantees 1 thing, you will never know what he will bring to the table, keeps the ravers guessing and ultimately wanting more! Bio
An adopted Welsh soul and a leading figure in Concrete Junglists, Double A Side originally hails from Brighton but started getting into Drum & Bass seriously after starting University at Aberystwyth, having originally discovered London Elektricity, Pendulum & Hospital Records during his teenage years. Whilst filming for local event Black House he got the curiosity for DJing, after witnessing artists cut up sets on CDJ’s and Turntables at a time when Dubstep was running alongside Drum & Bass equally on the dancefloor.

He picked up his first controller (a Hercules MK4!) after graduating and moving down to Cardiff, where he attended his first Aperture night at Clwb Ifor Bach, a 3hr London Elektricity all-vinyl set! Not long after, he started mixing on his then girlfriend’s Numark belt drives and took up a DJ School workshop at Catapult Records, where he gained tutelage on CDJ’s and direct drive Technics. It wasn’t long after, he purchased his first set of 1210’s just before the record shop closed for good.
Fast forward to 2023 and Double A Side has been setting decks on fire with his blend of deep, liquid and rolling bass filled sets, blending between sub genres to take the raver on a journey at any time of the day and night. Having warmed up for artists such as Andy C, Breakage, Digital, DJ Marky, Friction, Randall, Storm & Whiney, and playing for brands & festivals such as Big Love, DnB Allstars, Escape, Rumble in the Jungle & Run, Double A Side’s story is continually unfolding, with the next chapter currently underway.
