Daru is a DJ/Producer based in Cape Town, South Africa pushing his unique taste and skills into the music industry since 2018.

He started performing at eisteddfods at a young age as part of an orchestra and as a solo artist. In his early teens, he picked up the guitar as his medium and performed in various bands. It was through rock that he first discovered electronic music and he has not looked back since. 

His music ability has allowed him to play at some of South Africa's best events & nightclubs, from Bazique, Rocking The Daisies, Sexy Groovy Love to Shimmy Beach, Reset and Modular. He has featured on line ups and shared stages with the likes of Andhim, Andy Baxter, Black Coffee, Camilo Franco, Dirty Doering, Elif, Floyd Lavine, Freudenthal Of Pardon Moi, Goldfish, Manuel Noeth, Nicone, Pierre Johnson, Ryan Murgatroyd, Sides, Siphe Tebeka, Sonic Bloom, Superlover, Stimming, Teenage Mutants and Terr.

He has released music on Katz & Kauz and Ambious Records which are both German based labels and it has seen support from the likes of Collective States, Chicola, John Cosani, Kasper Koman, Lonya, Mariano Mellino, Mike Griego, Praveen Achary, Yehuda Narkis, Sonic Union, Ricky Ryan, Teiao and Ziger.

Daru has a palette for mixing deep, melodic, progressive sounds. He experiments and pushes the boundaries with his electric sets that will take a crowd on a euphoric journey with soundscapes of energy.
