Silvahfonk Presents 10 Years Demand Mix

Meet Sara Reisinger aka Aras, an Austrian DJ who moved to Vienna in 2015 and it didn’t take her long to start mixing at home. After 3 years of practice and having found her home within deep, 
rolling, minimal and techy Drum and Bass she had her first club appearance in April 2019 and has been playing in some of the most well-known clubs in town such as Grelle Forelle, PRATERSAUNA, FLEX and Ottakringer Brauerei.
In the mean time she started helping organize the Drum and Bass events CONTRAST , took over as labelmanager for Fraktal Sound as well as social media manager for 1985 Music and has started a monthly mix series called Sunday Sessions together with Sequent besides being ¼ of the Austria female bass music collective amikal.
So with Aras showing no signs of stopping as well as exploring other genres like Dubstep/House/Techno/Garage - make sure you keep an eye on her!

We’re proud to present the next instalment of the Dispatch Blueprints series from the legendary Ink & Gremlinz. Writing music together for almost 3 decades, they have pioneered their own take on drum and bass and so they make the perfect pairing to continue the Blueprints ethos, presenting their take on classic, old skool sounds with contemporary production techniques.

‘Juno Dawn’ is a tribute to the ‘atmospheric’ tracks heard at legendary clubs like ‘Speed’. It is a direct reference to Ink’s own ARX (Architecture Recordings) sound and style, a seven minute journey through the depths of these emotive and imaginative soundscapes.

In contrast ‘Faceless’ is a nod to the ’Horsemen’ sound that Ink & Gremlinz have been part of for many years – created originally by The 4 Horsemen (Ink, Loxy, Dylan and Keaton) this tough and rolling sound found home on labels like Renegade Hardware and Metalheadz – primarily focusing on b-boy break beats, with those deep tribal and tech elements that continue throughout, developing in a continual roll out.

In June 2020 we ran a remix competition for the title track of Fokus' first lead artist release. The track was originally produced by Fokus, Ben Soundscape, RoyGreen & Protone. The stems were offered up to anyone buying the EP and with the help of Ant TC1 and Mikey at Dispatch the team set about deciding which of the many incredible entries we received would be offered the chance to have their remix released by the label. 

The quality of entries was so high that we found it hard to choose and instead had to declare 2 winners - Revan and Parasite. 

Revan, known by some as one half of Ill Truth submitted this classy flip, changing the tempo into a unique stepper packed with his trademark sound. 
Parasite, the production/DJ duo made up of Twisted & Akano, gave it a solid bass rework, with a bassline that hits hard.

Wreckless returns to Dispatch Limited for this deeply personal EP reflecting a period of intense change in his life. At the time many of these tracks were written he had reached a real turning point in his life, turning to music production to help handle grief but also mark the transition from working full time into professional music production.

With the EP title reflecting this leap of faith, the tracks are also representative of the emotions he felt during this time. ‘C# blues’ is an Emu bass workout, mainly anger and frustration. ‘Programs without Purpose’ is all punk, all attitude, working out loss, feeling fear. ‘Freelancer’ is about making the jump and believing better things are out there. ‘Tealights’ is about acceptance and finding peace. ‘Holiday blues’ is about moving on and ends the EP on a note of hope. 

As Wreckless himself says “I really hope people see this journey in the music. I am in such a different headspace now, but I love how reflective this EP is of that time”.
