KNARS 'Tear It All Down' [Ohoh Records]

The second release on XOU (Pronounced Zoo) is from an artist called KRÆK. He's been both a DJ and long term promoter in Germany for many years pushing the Drum & Bass scene over there and we are delighted to see he has now moved into the world of production. This EP is a minimal masterclass with three original deep, dark tracks alongside a remix of his track 'Footprint' that came out on XOU001 by the king of minimal Fre4knc.

C.A.B.L.E. has been making waves since his early days, releasing music on labels like Renegade Hardware, Bc Presets, and 31 Records. He started his journey at just 15 and first joined Innerground in 2007 with ‘The Masterplan - Pt. 1’. This third installment features four exceptional remixes that promise to captivate both long-time fans and new listeners. The EP kicks off with a powerful remix by Taelimb, delivering an innovative take on Chase & Status’ ‘Ten Tonne’. Next up, Kolectiv brings a high-energy rendition of Konflict’s ‘Maelstrom’, blending contemporary elements with the original's timeless essence. The third track sees Ben Kei pushing boundaries with a bold reinterpretation of Loxy & Dylan’s ‘Death March’, while the final track, remixed by Dushi, closes the EP with a dynamic and engaging version of Raiden’s classic, ‘Fallin’.

Renegade Hardware remains a cornerstone of the Drum and Bass community, known for its commitment to quality and its influence on the genre. The 'From The Vaults' series is a testament to the label's enduring impact, showcasing both the rich legacy and the innovative future of drum and bass music.

Sometimes someone can be found hiding in the noise. Away from light, cloaked in distortion, breathing under the concrete. They might be found to speak, a lone transmission like a resonant peak in a storm. Their voice is dwarfed by the violence, but if you listen closely, you can hear their story.
