Hailing from Wales in the UK, BMotion is one of Viper Recordings’ freshest and most eclectic talents. Signing exclusively to the label in 2014 and dropping his debut single ‘Feelings / Something, Something’ on sister label Viper VIP to huge success, the talented young producer has already gained momentous support from the likes of TC, Cyantific, Sub Focus, Matrix & Futurebound, Crissy Criss, Danny Byrd, Metrik, Netsky and many more.

Over the last two years, BMotion has become a respected name in the industry and has consistently brought the heat with releases such as the Beatport chart topping ‘Bear Hug / Vice City’ and ‘Arabia / Ignition’ in 2015. Alongside compilation features including ‘Discotheque’ with Chords on Decade of Viper and the huge ‘Tekken’ on Viper Presents: Summer Slammers 2016, BMotion has also proved his remixing skills with his spin on Brookes Brothers feat. Majesty’s ‘Good To Me’ – which featured on Viper Presents: Bassrush 1.0 alongside the well-received ‘Ignition’.

Eutopia kicks off BMotion’s new single with a distinctly retro, jazz-fueled intro. Twisting and turning through a range of distorted synths and progressive drums, the track quickly picks up pace before catapulting into a hard-hitting drop packed with fierce stabs and snares. Splicing together an explosive mix of funky retro and a heavy, rolling bassline, the producer impresses from the get-go with this turbo charged opening tune.

On the flip side, Release Valve opens up on a more chilled vibe. Starting off by incorporating an electric guitar into an echoing build-up, the track is then instantly transformed as a powerful, gritty bassline takes over the moment the drop hits. Bringing some next-level energy and aiming straight for the center of the dancefloor, this killer tune packs some serious ferocity.

Showcasing yet more faultless production and bringing to the table undoubtedly two of the biggest Drum and Bass tracks to hit dancefloors this autumn, BMotion is wasting no time in setting himself apart from the competition.

Amidst a schedule full of hyping up dances across Europe from behind the decks, luckily L Plus found time to create a brand new banger. “Rocks” co-opts words from physics icon Stephen Hawking to narrate the opening. We're being invited on a interstellar musical journey, moving through expansive layers of regal chords. There's an old skool raviness in the harmonies, gently punctuated by touches of percussion. And then he cuts through all that and slams us hard in the face with a force nine build. We're landed in a soundscape dominated by an impossibly bouncy bassline, ricocheting between modulations. Steel-gloved punches of kick and snare drive the wave of energy, while little touches of acidic synth fly the flag for those early nineties vibes. Amidst rib-rattling low end and rhythm-programming fireworks, this tune does exactly what the title promises.

Premiere: Flowidus 'Compressor' [Elevate Records]

Celebrating two decades in business, Technique Recordings have opened up the vaults and handed out the stems of some of their biggest tunes to some of the sickest producers around. We had warnings of what was to come with DC Breaks' remix of Tantrum Desire's 'Airhead' and Glitch City's take on Drumsound & Bassline Smith's 'Skumbag', and cuts from this album have been shelling down raves and festivals all summer.

Now, here's what we've been waiting for.

This album, spanning the full twenty years of Technique history, showcases the real strength and depth of the catalogue. Anthems like Crissy Criss & Youngman's 'Kick Snare', Drumsound & Bassline Smith's 'Crossfire' and Tantrum Desire's 'Reach' all get reconfigured to take heads off all over again. The bossmen have even resurrected their Future Tech moniker to give a 2019 upgrade to TECH 001.

And the array of remixers recruited take us all the way across the spectrum of contemporary drum 'n' bass. The likes of Bladerunner and Marky rub shoulders with AMC and The Prototypes...this album is as musically multi-faceted as it is star-studded. Just take a look down the tracklist to see how much there is to discover, taking in dancefloor, jungle, jump-up and more.

In summary, this is how to celebrate a birthday in style. Some of the biggest tracks from the back catalogue given the remix treatment by some of the biggest artists in the scene.
