TRC2 drops his first full EP on Codename: RCRDS with a stunning selection of deep rollers perfectly showcasing this rising talent with a defiantly unique sound pitching towards darker edges.

The EP opens with 'Basement', where crisp breaks and gully baselines combine with ominous atmospheres and synth riffs for a dark introspective roller. Things continue with the haunting techy dreamstate of 'Marvel At What Could Have Been', full of stabbing synths and rumbling basslines, before title track 'Assembly Code' moves towards more rolling drumfunk stylings. The EP closes with techstep 'Rapid Adaptation', where initially darker elements give way to lush pianos and driving synths.

Total Science are back to grace their own imprint CIA Records, and this time they enlist the musical and technical prowess of fellow Bristol associates Hydro and War alongside themselves on The Reign EP.  Made up of four killer slabs of fast paced, moving and deep Drum & Bass, the influence of each party is immediately obvious in each track. Total Science are infamous for their breaks and rave influences that have often been present in their music since they first started releasing in the early 1990's. Hydro has been releasing music since 2003, working with a slew of respected producers such as Break, DLR, Naibu and Mako amongst many others. He is infamous for his epic sample collection and the deep vibes that he brings to tracks. And the young French extraordinaire War has already shown he is a force to be reckoned with, consistently releasing music with a sublime depth and musicality that belies his age - and also a power and punch that consistently rips clubs to shreds.  The Reign EP brings the finest attributes of each of the parties to the table, and results in a well-rounded collection of music that offers something to a wide range of listeners. We are proud to present the solo debut release from Berlin based duo Survey on Dispatch, with five tracks for the ‘Sidewalks EP’.

With a dark edged sound, the pair have been on our radar for some time and it was only a matter of time before we formally welcomed them, having recently featured on the Tephra & Arkoze EP with ‘This World’ (as supported by Noisia).

A shrewd application of production merit, Survey primarily focus on groove and vibe, leading the charge from the bassline up and every element gravitating towards it –especially on

Black Opps on PROX093 is an exercise in dark sound, drawing on war-influenced samples and opting for uncompromising drums and bass. Jericho EP is a triplet of tunes that further help define the essence of the Proximity sound.

The opening track, ‘TomaHawk’ has the sound of danger in a post-apocalyptic world. The initial protection provided by the cover of synths help introduce the main body of the track. This protection is soon cut back, unleashing a powerful skeleton uncompromising in its rawness. Both ethereal and grand, the title track, ‘Jericho’, creates an atmosphere similar to the tense moments before a battle. This peels away to reveal a gritty underside, coloured with images of a dark subterranean dance. Thirdly, ‘Brah-Mos’ is an unmistakable darkside roller, smooth and ready for those who want to move.
