It is no secret that the musician duo Smuskind from the Ruhr Area has been one of our closest and most important artists since the foundation of our label. Despite our close and familiar work, however, they have never had their very own EP release with us - but this changes after a year of planning with their "Fractale - EP". The EP is just as diverse, detailed and playful as you would expect from a Smuskind release. It starts with melodic and melancholic sonics, then turns into more dark and technical sounds and finishes in an experimental and playful way. The dramaturgy of the EP is simply as complex as a fractal. It breaks norms and is at the same time an articulated construct that hits the zeitgeist of contemporary Drum & Bass on the point.
