"Dat Boy Will" had very humble beginnings. 
He's the 3rd oldest of his mothers 5 children.
During his early years, his mom was a very religious woman and absolutely refused to let him listen to "wordly music.”
Will states " I was very resourceful and sneaky, I would sneak and listen to my uncles rap cd's whenever my mom wasn't around."
His uncles favorite rappers then became his favorite rappers. 
He grew up listening to pastor troy, ugk, 3 6 mafia, and a whole lot of master p. 
Dat boy will begin to play around with rapping while he was only 9 yrs old but was always too shy to ever let anyone hear him rap. 
Most of the males in his family were heavily involved in the streets and because of that his 2 favorite cousins fail victim to gun violence. 
This prompted him to write the song “miss my niggas”
