Since then, he does not stop wandering in the dark and narrow side streets of the district " el Raval " in Barcelona. When he is not low, it is between the walls of the old man whorehouse of besançon that he finds the inspiration to compose his music. To accompany its faithful goldfish and its TB, Sensation looks for the depth of the dreams has fault the special spaces.

Dear friends of Four Heads; Infinite Pleasure return with their first various artist EP, and we know that you’re going to love it. 

We feature Rotterdam based, @taylanalan’s 'Emotion Scape', a tune has the warming capability to distance the everyday office worker and take them on a trip into pure unadulterated bliss. 

Revert back to your younger years, step into the book being read to you at the time. The sun is gleaming down in happy land as the bunny rabbits glide through luscious greenery, the birds sing and the rivers flow. Work isn’t a thing, no one works in Taylan’s Shangri-La, yet in reality you do work, quite a lot, and the unwelcome, intervening acid stabs at 1:45 are a grim reminder of that.

Sydneysider, Freda, has three tracks waiting for release on Moonshoe – a label native to his hometown – which will be his second and only the fourth overall release on the imprint. Run by a musical collaborator of Freda’s, Jackson, the label has so far put out music from some impressive Australian artists, like Jackson himself and Horation Luna, the latter of which is a founding member of renowned Melbourne collective, 30/70.

Freda’s forthcoming EP, "Mad Dancer", features a couple of dusty house and disco tracks on the A-side. The B-side, however is a more experimental, breakbeat track, intricately packed to the sonic-brim with drum and chopped vocal samples. Our premiere  Breakfast on the flip is the curveball of the 3 tracks. A darker mood is established before a syncopated break drives the EP home, exemplified by a sliding dissonant synth melody. 

Expect good things from the young but impressive Moonshoe label in general, but first and foremost, look out for this high quality Freda record, released digitally and on some limited 12-inchers on April 20. Pre-order here.

Contreparty #11 - September 2020 w/ Baka G

Heuristique II is the second Various Artists compilation by 909 Connection. Made of 8 original tracks from crew members and friends from Toulouse, France, this compilation combines the unique style of each artists into an ever-evolving journey.

Starting with a deep and futuristic dancehall track by FIDY, things get softer with How U Feel by Naconda, a mellow House tune in remembrance of our past summer. With a shamanic Downtempo anthem, STUPR and his guitar set the mood nicely to prepare the listeners for a trip on the Dark Side of the Moon, inside Soyouz's spaceship. The highest point is then reached, as riddims get broken in I Know You Love Me, a melancholic tune by ESBA, in which his acid signature sound is easily recognisable. All of the sudden, Isolated Material introduces a brutal mood change, with Overload, an acid roller topped with broken rhythms. Made in the midst of the french lockdown, Jour 7 by R.2614, is an exploration into the abyss of acid sounding Techno, putting the listeners back into a weird and dark state of mind. To wrap up this compilation, Phonom delivers Dustwave, a lovely breakbeat tune, offering serenity and hope for an unpredictable future...

So, here we are. An insanely annoying and devastating year goes to an end and I can’t say I’m mad about it. It brought loss, tragedy, and tremendous hardship to many of our doorsteps and my heart goes out to all of you who got hit the hardest. But after all, I can’t help but see the positive side of things and say “thank you!” to all of you who made me keep my sanity in all those months of social distancing and solitude by being amazing artists, DJ’s, musicians, or just a part of this community. May 2021 be a better, brighter, and more social year for all of us!
