His songs were featured on local radios through the country, and he had teh chance to open for influential acts the likes of Papa Duck, Foxx, Dirty boyz, Duece Komradz, King South, just to name a few.

Born July 13th 1987 Christopher Morris also known as “Chris” & C-MONEY came into a world where the odds were 
stacked against him from his first breath. A child to a single mother Darlene Morris now Darlene Maske Chris’ father 
abandoned him and his mother before he was ever born. Raised for the first 8 yrs. Of his life in a poverty stricken 
neighborhood on the south side of Columbus Ga. Chris’ mother did the best she could to ensure that he was raised in 
the best manner possible though times were very hard. Asked about these times in his life Chris has often said that 
he can remember times when they barely had the money to put food on the table. He also said that he can remember 
times when the power man would only cut off the power to half of their house so they would still be able to cook and 
have heat. At age 16 he dropped out of school with enough credits to graduate, he was in the 10th grade.
Running away from Alabama leaving behind a younger brother and sister C-MONEY moved to Georgia and began 
going down a road he would not be able to turn back from. He began using drugs and hustling to pay for the lifestyle 
he was living. At 18 he moves back to Alabama to a little town called Notasulga and continues to live the fast life 
which ultimately led him to catching an armed robbery charge. He was ultimately acquitted. When asked when he first 
decided to pursue his dream in music C-MONEY says “I have been writing music since I was 13 and when I caught 
the charge I did my cousin Michael Moore had also caught the same charge for a different case, he got 15 yrs and is 
still in prison today but I had a little drum pad it had 4 pads and preset beats in it, I had a lot on my mind at the time 
and decided to write a song for my cousin and life being hard in general, so I put a piece of tape over the top of a 
cassette tape put it in a karaoke machine and recorded the beat and my vocals through the microphone and I played 
it for his (my cousins) mother and listening to it she started to cry and told me that it meant so much to her and the 
song was wonderful”. “ That feeling of being able to make someone feel like she did and to be able to express the 
way I was feeling which was similar to the way she was feeling about the situation really made me pursue music”. At 
the age of 22 C-MONEY met a young and up and coming hip hop duo SOUTH THUGZ which consisted of two 
people Bama Time and Checka Ray. While riding down the road one day with his younger brother and Bama Time at 
the age of 23 C-MONEY’s brother told him to flow a few lyrics for Bama. After doing so Bama offered to record him 
and teach him the ins and outs of recording music. At age 24 he performed for the first time in front of a small crowd 
he says it was one of the best feelings he’s ever experienced. Now at the age of 27 he has recorded over 100 songs 
and has teamed with Bama Time to create their own label GRINDHOWSE ENT. . With over 885 plays on 
soundcloud.com they are both featured on Bama’s new mix tape “Reality” which also features Checka Ray and 
several other local hip hop artists in Tallassee, Alabama. They have also done many shows in Montgomery, Alabama 
as well. When asked what his goal is in the music industry he replies “To change the world with my music and give 
the world a little piece of me I don’t do it for fame and fortune though those are nice, I want to let the world know that 
even though u may be going through hard times or feeling like you have nothing to offer the world keep your head 
up and press on because you can do anything you set your mind to no matter how big the dream is or how bad 
you’ve struggled”. “It’s all up to you” he says.
