AJ Jansen is an American singer and songwriter from the state of Connecticut. At the tender age of six AJ found her passion for Country music and revolutionized a career winning multiple nominations and awards. Growing popularity as a performer AJ starred as a special guest at locales such as The Newport Blues Café, and became a headliner for various benefits. She also played in other well-known country establishments across the states while she made her way down to Nashville, Tennessee. As her fandom rose so did her ambition to perform creating the nickname “Country Music’s Rebel Rose”.

The name “Country Music’s Rebel Rose” turned out to be the perfect title for the rising star. AJ is known to intertwine her music with Rock influences to create a rebellious and joyful new sound for her Rebel Rosers. In 2005 she won Best Female Modern Country Vocalist from the Connecticut Country Music Association (CCMA) and Best Recording for her original single, “Moments” which featured on the CCMA compilation CD. 2006 also marked another prestigious year. Her much anticipated debut album, This Night Belongs To Me was released just in time for the summer fair season where AJ played six successive shows for The Big E, New England’s biggest Country Fair.  AJ was also invited to play at The Wolf Den at The Mohegan Sun for five consecutive months where many legendary country and rock artists performed. It was a dream turned into reality. By the end of the year AJ attended the national championships for the North American Country Music Association (NACMAI) in Nashville, TN. At the NACMAI Nationals, she won the NACMAI Horizon Female Vocalist of the Year.

In 2007, AJ toured Border's Bookstores where she happily obliged the patrons' requests for encores. After the tour 2008 proved to be a productive and awesome year. AJ started booking several New York Clubs such as "The Bitter End,“ and was featured on a Japanese television show called, "The New York Songwriter's Circle.” In 2009 AJ followed up her debut album with the release of her sophomore effort Dirty Country. AJ created her own mixed drink named after the album which sold at bars like Fake for a limited time only.  She performed singles off the album as an opener for Phil Vasser, and played regularly at the Mohegan Sun. Her zeal for singing and song-writing is evident in the lyrics. 

After taking a short break AJ worked long and hard on her Junior album. In 2013 Country Music’s Rebel Rose released her album Bars Scars and Old Guitars. The album did remarkably well on her tour “Dirty Country.”  She performed at venues such as Wild West Casino in Bally’s Atlantic City, Nascar Circuit, and for the Professional Bull Riders association until 2015. By then AJ and her band were working on her fourth album A Country Girl Can Survive. The album won her “Band of the Year” by iHeart Radio WWYZ 92.5 in 2016.  

With her latest release Bourbon and Roses AJ Jansen is bringing an electric blend of soulful dirty country and edgy rock to the stage. AJ has already headlined her own show at the Infinity Music Hall and has been an opener for James Otto.
