Яркий персонаж, который всегда выделялся самобытным стилем и звучанием в электронной музыке.
Начав свой путь в далеком 2004м году под псевдонимом Maxim Big Ben, прошел путь сменяя жанры и звучание, постоянно находясь в поиске своего собственного звучания.
От мелодичного хаус’а в 00х к прогрессивному звучанию начала 10х годов. От глубокого Дипа до Tech хауса начала 20х … 

Его путь привел его к знакомству с прекрасной Кати, которая вдохновила его и познакомила с миром Slow Dance музыки. Она стала для него музой и вместе они нашли, то что он так долго искал,- это Глубокое и Органическое звучание прекрасного Downtempo переплетаемого с Этническими мотивами и техничным звучанием. Именно с момента их встречи все координально изменилось в том числе и его псевдоним.
Вместе они взяли себе имя Spirit of the Sun, что буквально переводиться как Дух Солнца, ведь их музыка это поток Любви, Тепла и Света, что в сочетании с глубоким шайбам их сэтов создает не повторный стиль и атмосферу во время их выступлений

Dauw—pronounced ‘Dao’—is the condensation of soul into sound. Like morning dew catching the first light of day, his music arrives steadily, yet speaks of deep undercurrents. Steeped in deep, worldly rhythms, the journey has always been one of essence over hype. Feeling over form.

His sets have pulsed through clubs, festivals, deserts, jungles, lakesides and intimate private events. But as the seasons turned, so did the call. What once moved crowds toward sunrise began pulling him inward—toward stillness, presence and ceremony. 

And so, Dao emerged. A name echoing eastern wisdom tradition—the path, the flow, the harmony beyond effort. With it he crafts ecstatic dance experiences where music becomes medicine and movement the release. These are rituals in spaces held with care, soul and deep intention. 

Drawing on one and a two decades of DJ alchemy, his sound blends grounded basslines with soaring emotional arcs, curated entirely anew for each gathering. Music for the body, the breath and the unseen.

This isn’t an act. It's a remembrance.
