David Wright Jr., professionally known as Done Wright — also known as Picasso and the Wizard of Bars — is a commanding East Coast lyricist and fully independent producer shaped by consistency and lyrical discipline. Born in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and raised in South Side Jamaica, Queens, his relationship with music began at age 12, forged in a household rich with sound, culture, and storytelling.

Rooted in the precision of Rakim, the introspection of Nas, and the raw realism of Mobb Deep, Done Wright fuses gritty street narratives with the soulful influence of classic R&B. His sound is reflective yet assertive — music built for thinkers, hustlers, and survivors navigating ambition, adversity, and growth.

A true independent, Done Wright has released over 40 projects, earning a reputation as one of hip-hop’s most consistent and disciplined writers. His catalog draws directly from real life, delivering clarity, purpose, and authenticity without compromise.
