I decided with this longer style mix, that I would chose a lot of tracks old and new, some well known and many not so much, all of varying housey vibes, some vocal and deeper, while some get acidic and tougher, but always with a house slant. I suppose its kind of music that I would play back at an after party, and delving deep with lots of gems that I play in my sets. 

I’ve been a DJ since the late 80’s, so as you can imagine, I’ve amassed a heck of a lot of music, so I love to play older tracks, that may spark a memory, or give a particular flavour of sound from a certain era, creating a certain mood, and then I like to gently shift vibes thought the mixes, keeping you groovin’, but with a chunkiness at times, rather than keeping to one specific flavour throughout. There’s so much music around, and some of it comes and goes in a matter of weeks, and so I wanted to bring a light on some of these tracks, while interspersing with fresh tracks.

i'll set the scene. It's 5am and my wife and I begin a 7 hour bus journey from the south of montenegro up to croatia. 

the coast along the adriatic sea has some of the most beautiful views in all my travels around the world and while I let the scenery wash over me I felt inspired to make a mix. 

this set doesn't follow any genre or real method to its madness its just a bunch of music I felt like listening to in the moment. 

it starts out a little bit deep and wonky and as we progressed along the coast and the sun and temperature began to rise so did the tempo and energy of the music.
