What a party!

Nubreed & Infusion blew me away and the crowd was as good as any I've been to in years. 

Earlier in the afternoon Dan and I go to play together for the first time in forever as well. Like riding a bike, we found our feet pretty quickly and had a blast bouncing off each other and sharing the music we'd recently discovered (or re-discovered).

Saturday Night

After Andreas Henneberg slayed the main stage, Uone, the crew and I grabbed the decks and headed to a little kiosk tucked away deep amongst the trees. We set everything up and I got to play to a small but very appreciative selection of crew as the nearby bonfire kept us warm. 

The set starts quite deep and then ebbs and flows in energy. Listening back to it recently I can certainly hear Patrice Baumel's influence to the way that I was playing. Both the music itself and the construction of the set. 

The set also contains a few of my all time favourite pieces of music by Kiasmos, Sashca Funke and Guy J.

Words can not express the joy I had playing at the Sunset Stage at RSF this past weekend. To be surrounded by some of my closest friends, playing the music I love in such beautiful surroundings will always stay with me. 

This is the set I played on Saturday Morning 10am - 11:30am. Rerecorded the ending as it was cut short to clean the area and I wanted have the entire last track there to enjoy. 

Best listened to barefoot in the sunshine, with a drink in hand and a smile on your face like the way it was created!

After having the honour of warming up for Henry Saiz last year I was thrilled to have another the opportunity to do it again. This time Darkbeat ran the party at Melbourne's new hotspot Railway Hotel in Brunswick.

Darkbeat have hosted a couple of killer day parties lately in that courtyard. Apparat, DJ T, Stanton Warriors and this time they were back with Henry.

Warming up I wanted to create a fun happy vibe, yet give Henry somewhere to go and not go too full on too early. The set was recorded from 5:00pm - 6:30pm

I got to play some music I really love (in particular that Midland remix and Lancelot - Mover) and finished with one of my fav tracks of 2015 from Melbourne legend Retza called Projections on Lister Cooray & Kasey Taylor's new label Lo-Fi-45.

Whenever presented with this kind of opportunity I always look to do something a little different than what I've done before.

i'll set the scene. It's 5am and my wife and I begin a 7 hour bus journey from the south of montenegro up to croatia. 

the coast along the adriatic sea has some of the most beautiful views in all my travels around the world and while I let the scenery wash over me I felt inspired to make a mix. 

this set doesn't follow any genre or real method to its madness its just a bunch of music I felt like listening to in the moment. 

it starts out a little bit deep and wonky and as we progressed along the coast and the sun and temperature began to rise so did the tempo and energy of the music.

Got the last minute call up to warm up with one of my all time favourite DJs last week. 

Zabs was the first DJ I ever went and saw back in 2004 and his energetic, eclectic and dynamic performance has helped shape my own DJ identity. 

This set is a bit of a love letter to Zabs. It has a few tracks from some of his old sets and reflects that eclectic and dynamic theme. 

The set on the night was one of my favourite warm ups I've done because I felt right at home playing all of the music that I played. It wasn't just prog, or house, or techno or breaks or deep house, it was ALL of it.
