It's hard to put into words how special sunrise at Blazing Swan is to me. To be able to play a sunrise set each year in the God Said No pyramid as the light cracks over the salt lake and sky gets brighter is something I'm deeply grateful for. This year especially so as it was the night after a particularly emotional temple burn. Lots of feels to send out through the music and a real sense of connection with my dear friends and all the Blaze community that came and danced into the morning. Thank you to all of you for being there. Thank you to the absolute legends I shared the stage with and thank you to the GSN crew for making the pyramid rise from the dust again in 2021. If you were there I hope this mix brings back some good memories and if you were somewhere else I hope this mix pleases your ears and makes you want to wiggle a little. I hope I get to see you next year!

I’m excited to be back and refreshed after spending a large chunk of the summer in the US on a much-needed family vacation. My great friend (and amazing DJ/Producer) Metha invited me to celebrate Be Massive's anniversary and the brief was ... 'please play some classics from across the years as well as some new stuff - and we'd love to hear a little Zodiac Cartel too'.

As part of our up coming 'Ten' project (which celebrates ten years of MC Shureshock and I having worked together) we are digging through the digital crates to find a bunch of old mixes we have done. This first one is a personal fave of mine. It's a mix I did for a magazine called 'Remix' in 2000 and was one of the first 'official' mixes I ever did. It may be from 2000, and it may now be 10 years old, but damn the beats still sound fresh! Oh and this was pre-Ableton days! i.e. it was done by mixing records together on two Technics turntables and a mixer (via pasting a hundred million takes together mind you!). With the world in partial lockdown, this 1-hour LIVE set was specially curated and performed in June 2020 to celebrate Glastonbury 2020 for my friends at the legendary GLADE stage.

I used 8 Ableton decks, 6 channels of live keyboard overdubs, an APC40, Launchkey 61 and 4 full days of my time to lovingly piece this one together. 

If anyone's able to correctly identify each component part of this mix, I'll send you my entire record collection. Muah!!
