Some Devil - Dave Matthews

"If I Were Yours" is a pop/rock song with an early 2000's vibe. It takes a bluesy/minor key vibe-verse and transitions into a pop chorus, reminiscent of something off of Maroon 5's "Songs About Jane" record. The bridge is the real highlight, with an ascension to a diminished chord that resolves with a slick drum fill into the final chorus. The final payoff is triumphant and scratches that itch when you want to blast a pop song speeding down the highway.
