A Restless Stay

Here is a simple duet with pianist and composer http://soundcloud.com/michelle-eaton. I really enjoyed listening to her exciting and skilful piano playing and superb orchestrations so I suggested a collaboration. By return of post I received this deliciously delicate miniature...an arrangement of a song I don't know by George Shearing. Michelle's playing here is beautifully feather-light and adding my part on clarinet felt like painting with a one-haired brush. Hope you enjoy it. Where Giants roam the Earth there is a Giant piano - The Piano As Big As a Tree.

In the summer of 2015 I had the amazing chance to play the biggest upright piano in the world - "The Giant", made by David Klavins (@thepianoguy), the renowned pianomaker. 

When I touched "The Giant" for the first time, this very piece was born under my fingers. We called it "The Piano As Big As a Tree".

I knew right away that one day I would compose a whole album for this extraordinary piano.

This year my dream finally came true! Thank you for the inspiration, David!
