This is a remastered recording of a live set I did at Now Magazine’s Lounge in Toronto in 2002. The venue was literally just up the street from my studio and home at the time, and you can tell by the length of some of my delay feedback transitions that I was pretty self-assured in the music I was making at the time (“they will love this two minutes of feedback as much as I do - I know it” :) 

My live setup at the time was centred around a Roland VS-880, TR-808, SH-101, Korg SDD-3000 delay, and a Deltalab Effectron delay, plus a mini-disc player and mixer, etc. I had no intention of maintaining momentum throughout the set it would seem and I played what I wanted. The version of Fatblex was improvised, as was the first track (the never-released “Precision Hell”).  I have just completed the remix of Solvent’s “A Panel of Experts” and finished the set with that. It's somewhat weird to play a remix of another artist in your live set, but I was (and am) super proud of how it turned out and remember wanting to hear it loud.

Lowfish Live: Now Lounge, Toronto 2001 (remastered)

Amperia, aka Aurelia Dinamita: técnica de sonido y luces, raver, queer, no binaria, coleccionista de discos y DJ. Amperia ha sido residente y comisaria de los podcasts Autopoiesis y poly|motion y, como Aurelia Dinamita, creó los eventos queer post-punk-wave Dis/Tanz y Trash Me.

Trabajando como promotora en la escena gótica underground madrileña desde 2003, Amperia ya notó la falta de mujeres y personas trans creando la música y mezclándola. En 2010, se mudó a Berlín y tomó con amigues la resolución de amplificar los esfuerzos de cada une y crear un mejor espacio de fiesta para la gente FLINTA*. Entre los eventos más relevantes se encuentran: con la fiestas y conciertos post punk-queer: Trash Me (2012), que luego se desarrollaron en las fiestas FLINTA- Fronted @dis_tanz__ (2014) un evento solidario wave-postpunk y sex positive y, @autopoiesis en 2016, cuyo enfoque era empoderar a las mujeres y las personas trans* en la escena techno y ocupar juntes los espacios más ruidosos de la noche berlinesa.

En 2016, Amperia también se unió a la @soundsysters crew, ofreciendo DJ Workshops, compartiendo su experiencia y sonorizando juntes festivales y salas de conciertos. Alrededor de 2018, se unió a otro equipo especial: @poly-motion : una sex party ésta vez basada en techno y electrónica muy bajada de BPM, con también un fuerte enfoque en actuaciones FLINTA.

*FLINTA es un acrónimo del alemán: Frauen (mujeres), Lesben, Intersexual, No binarie, Transgénero y Agénero.

Este set fue grabado en una open air de 1 a 4 de la tarde en Junio de 2023.

Invalid User - Nada

Artem, known as Grid User, is a Ukrainian producer and DJ originally from Khmelnitsky. 

Inspired by the classics of electro and the work of German and American electro pioneers, Artem decided to release his first project on the Greek label Tiger Weeds.
He has since self-released music on various Ukrainian and Western labels. Grid User is known for creating a unique sound that intertwines themes of transhumanism and digitalisation, exploring the connections between the future and the present, as well as the living and the synthetic.

While Artem leans towards a modern interpretation of electro, the influence of old-school sounds is clearly evident in his work. His love for the 808 drum machine, dark synths, and vocoders is an integral part of his musical identity.

Additionally, he founded Connectome Records, a powerful new label dedicated to releasing music that offers a fresh perspective on sound and serves as a tribute to dark electro.

For the second chapter of our Elementa Obscura series, the compilation moves with even greater force toward the dancefloor crossing the jagged territories of industrial, electro, and wave, sculpting six tracks where raw mechanics and shadowed atmospheres entwine.

Opening the record, FIUME (the side project of Croatia’s Le Chocolat Noir (Bunker Records, L.I.E.S.)) sets the tone on ‘Factory Wall’: a slab of cold industrial hypnosis where relentless drum patterns march across frozen synth landscapes. Pure machinery in motion.

On A2, Canadian producer Memorex channels a more measured energy. A steady, rolling bassline anchors intricate analog textures, while carefully layered pads expand into widescreen atmospheres. A track that feels both cleanly architected and deeply immersive.

Closing the first side, Uruguay’s Nyxloid: an EBM torchbearer with an unmistakable turntable craft presents ‘Utopicx’: hypnotic patterns, futuristic atmospheres, and metallic soundscapes loaded with tension. A cut built for those who thrive in the darker corners of the floor.

The flip side dives further. Ole Mic Odd, veteran of the US electro (KRI Records, Zement, Source Material, Kraftjerkz), contributes a heavyweight statement: razor-sharp pads, low-end menace, and grooves carved with mechanical precision. Electro at its most uncompromising.

On B2, Spanish artist Thai Lady Boy delivers a fierce industrial techno cut that feels like electricity itself in revolt: distorted acid sparks, convulsive rhythms, and scorched fragments of noise reassembled into a driving, chaotic whole. It’s unstable, dangerous, and wired for intensity.

Finally, RNXRX closes the circle with Altered States: a plunge into body music mutations where rhythm becomes rite. Oscillating between experimentation and sheer physicality, the track reveals the artist’s darkest impulses and his will to transgress.

Six cuts aimed at adventurous DJs and fearless dancers. As always, this is a one-time pressing of 250 copies only.

The artwork seals the vision: a planetary heptagram, historically used as a tool for cosmic contemplation. Representing the seven classical celestial forces, its geometry encodes order, proportion, and spiritual resonance mirroring the record’s sonic invocation.
