Old London Town

My 8 year old daughter recently started learning to play guitar. I heard her playing and singing 'You are my Sunshine' and thought her voice was just beautiful. I realized I had to record the song to capture it forever. She won't be my sweet little 8 year old forever :-)
So to the studio we went. I'm so proud of her, she plays guitar as well. We hope you like this version of a classic song.

You are my Sunshine

A song I recorded back in late 2018/early 2019. Deleted for whatever reason. The section of intense vocals toward the end of this song I've used in another song called "Losing It" which I may re-record in the future. So be on the lookout for that familiar ending. Enjoy.

The origins to this song go back a long way. Thursday 5th October 1989 to be precise. My Dear Friend Lee Curtis passed away on this date aged just 20 years old. Lee, together with his Mother Rita and Father Norman were dear dear friends of mine. Rita passed away in February 2023 bringing the family circle to a close. They are together again now. The Curtis Family were truly special people. I feel fortunate to have known them all and call them friend. This is me thinking of them all, in particular Lee and waiting Till we meet again. We will do one day, and like the song says 'I Can still hear the sound of your laughter in my mind, when I think of you.......'

Hello Soundcloud, thanks for the Listens, Likes and Support. Im from Melbourne Australia, I have been playing guitar for many years now and played in two bands during the 80's & 90's (STOLEN CAR original) & (STORM cover),both bands never released any material. Since 2010 i have been writing songs and tunes and recording them in my music room (3rd Bedroom), i play Guitar, Bass, Keys, BFD2 Drums(programmed)and Vocals on all of my songs which i class as Demo's, I love all types of music but Hard Rock, Rock to Alternative appeals to me most.
