I had some of the best times of my life working and touring with Rae and Christian and the Grand Central Records crew so when they asked me to re-mix their new single on Late Night Tales (www.latenighttales.co.uk) I really wanted to go to town! This is the first of three mixes and is under my 'Balaphonic' monniker. It features all live instrumentation recorded here in the moodycave. Two more  much housier mixes are to come! Moodymanc's Dubble D project lands on the Rebellion imprint, paying tribute to

the funk mecca of early Detroit and expressing a different kind of worship with ’Church’ featuring the legendary Ashley Beedle on remix duty.

Danny Ward AKA Moodymanc is one of the most well respected names in house music. His first foray on Rebellion is a truly religious experience. A superb slice of Detroit/Chi-town infused house with spiritual appeal. Ashley Beedle provides the ReVersion of the flip like only he can.. a killer double header!

Danny Ward was christened Moodymanc by his peers at 2020 Recordings due to his heavily jazztinged productions and Mancunian roots. His Jazz musician credentials have led him to work with such beat luminaries as Rae and Christian, the Pharcyde, Fila Brasilia and many more before taking the drum and production seats in 2020 soundsystem with Ralph Lawson and Silver City.

Two widely acclaimed albums and many 12"s under the name Dubble D and as part of 2020 Soundsystem. Also released on labels Dessous, Tsuba, Third Ear, 2020Vision and most recently Dark Energy Recordings.
