The monthly "Clen's List" playlists comes from the great music that comes across on Soundcloud each month. Of course this wouldn't be possible without the work of all the producers, reposters, promoters, and suggestions from others, so thanks and big up to everyone out there sharing and producing these sounds.

Another goal of these lists is to promote the artists producing the tunes. There are some really incredible less known productions that float around and just don't wind up in the "spotlight". By including these productions in the lists, hopefully these great works get their time in the spotlight.

Look out for a new list around the end of each month.

P.S. Overtime the lists lose tracks that were originally included. I do not know if this is due to artists removing their tracks from Soundcloud (or the tracks get bought by a record company and then removed), or if there is another reason. I will try to keep these lists as up to date and as close to how they were originally as best as possible. As of February 2014 the original list will be in the bottom of the description.

House legend and Rinse FM resident Shadow Child has teamed up with Doorly on new single ‘Climbing (Piano Weapon)’, which is now available to stream on Soundcloud. Following a premiere on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, the new vocal version of 'Piano Weapon' (co-written by MNEK) will be released by Polydor Records this November. Following a run of remixes for big names such as Hot Natured, London Grammar and most recently Duke Dumont, Shadow Child is currently working on original material and playing a run of live dates in Ibiza and across the UK including a London show supporting the legendary Groove Armada.
 
Simon Neale’s darker, bass-heavy alter ego Shadow Child was born in 2012 with the signing of his bassline house classic ‘String Thing’ to Dirtybird Records. Championed across the world by DJs including Annie Mac, Jamie Jones and Eats Everything, Shadow Child’s early house tracks have attracted a global fan base. Now playing the closing shows on his Summer 2014 tour, Shadow Child will be hitting the studio to complete his debut full-length release. Until then, head to Soundcloud to stream ‘Piano Weapon’ and get stuck into his Rinse FM guest mix series featuring the biggest names in UK house.

Phaction - Without You [Bassrush Premiere]

Shodan & Cosmology team up to enlighten all of us with the release of the new Lucky Strike EP.  The EP is a breath of fresh air, combining beautiful, organic elements with tasteful electronic embellishments.  The EP kicks off with the unique sounds of Cosmology, bringing you "Lucky Strike".  The song features rolling drums, techy cord stabs, a gritty bassline and soulful vocals.  Next up is a solo track from Shodan entitled, "First Light".  The song takes a bit of a deeper approach, featuring melancholic piano cords, strings, and reverse pads.  At the drop, the extra drum layers and the bassline kicks in and helps take the track to new heights.  Shodan & Cosmology team up on the final track entitled, "The Hardest Times".  The track begins is highlighted by punchy drums, organic live bass sounds, whirling atmospherics, echoing pads, and variety of tasteful vocal samples. Payback is a well-known name throughout this niche genre of Drum & Bass. His sound is much sought after amongst headz, and his following has continued to grow steadily over the past few years.
