I was a nurse for a number of years and witnessed the impact of Alzheimer’s on partners and families and thought I would try writing a song about it.
Apology for such a sad subject to write a song about but it may resonate with people.

I read a book a few years ago by Robert Hughes called Fatal Shore. It is thoroughly recommended, telling the stories of so many of the people who were simply transported to Australia for the most minor crimes carried out largely by people who were poor and starving. Australia today has become quite fantastic but the conditions back in the day must have been horrendous and terrifying for those people sent there.

St Oswald's Church sits in a field up on the Hadrians Wall. It looks out over the cheviots and beyond into Scotland. It's very exposed and the weather can change quickly. The clouds roll across usually from the West and it is just a lovely spot.
I have tried to capture the church and the cemetery, the borders and Northumberland and Cumberland with just a bit of church.
Apologies to people who commented and liked this track as I deleted it in a diva like moment when I couldn't stand my terrible piano playing. It's better now after a cup of tea and a lie down :>))
